    Well, believe it or not members from the legislature are still working on further prohibiting our free exercise of religion and health care treatment.

    We have informed the governor and legislators on several occasions that the report from the “Governors Task Force On Children At Risk” is false. We have told them of the larger families, (often over 10 children), common to church members. Having more children means, by the law of averages, more incidence of death. Sadly!  But the Governors’ office has not backed away from the false child mortality rate stated in the report commissioned by him.

    Furthermore when I had finished laying out the facts and statistics to Mr Otter he stated, “The numbers make no difference to him”, I can only conclude that he simply believes in the “superiority” of the medical system, (3rd leading cause of death)!  

    So I have come to the conclusion that this movement comes about simply because some legislators believe that the state should prohibit free exercise of religion and our God given right and duty, whenever parents choices (driven by belief) are not in accordance with the beliefs held by the State. In other words the state wants to make a law establishing a belief, (belief / religion) held by the state in spite of the facts, statistics, and the constitutions of the State and the United States!

    This is a fight to protect our children, our rights, our country!

    The State would force our children to be treated by state licensed medical professionals even when we believe herbs, homeopathy, spiritual, or another treatment would be best! If we refuse to comply, the state will take our children from our homes, shove their poisons into them by force, then very likely never return our children to our loving homes.

     If our children, taken by the state, are harmed or die in their custody, what recourse would we have? The statute as written insulates the medical professionals from recourse, and the state doesn’t even have to apologize for accidentally harming or killing our children held in their custody!  Oh by the way, then they send us the bill!

    In conclusion, if we want to save the children, save them from the state and the 3rd largest killer of children in the U.S. ‘the medical industrial complex’.

    It is an outright lie that children are dying due to lack of medical treatment and the state knows it!

    Belief begets religion and religion is the result of belief. When the numbers and facts make no difference to direct actions, then actions are directed by belief, and belief is synonymous with religion.

         We have the right to freedom of choice of heath care treatments for us and our children.

         The state seems to want to make our health care treatment choices for us and interfere in family health decisions!

         Freedom can not be legislated, legislation only restricts freedom.  

         The end result of any health care treatment decision is uncertain and can always end in tragedy.
         Would you want to take responsibility for a tragedy caused by interference?

    DEATH REVIEW BOARD FINDINGS:

    Refusal of Medical Treatment Due to Religious Beliefs
    In 2013, the CFR Team identified 5 deaths to infants from families whose religious beliefs prevented them from seeking medical intervention. All of these 2013 deaths were to newborn infants. ***IDAHO ranks one of the highest states in PREMATURE BIRTHS.

    In 3 consecutive review years, the team has encountered a total of 10 deaths to infants or children who were reportedly not treated medically due to the parents’ religious beliefs. These cases were identified using information provided on death certificates and coroner reports. Since Vital Statistics does not compile the number of deaths in this category, it is difficult to estimate the actual number of preventable deaths to children of religious objectors.
    For the 2013 review year, the causes of death to infants from families who did not seek medical treatment included meconium aspiration, intestinal blockages, and sepsis. The CFR Team determined that each of these deaths may have been prevented with proper and timely medical treatment.

    Robert De Niro’s wife, Grace Hightower, isn’t ruling out the possibility that vaccines caused their 18-year-old son Elliot’s autism. “There are many people who will come out and say ‘I saw my kid change overnight,’” the Oscar winner said during a Wednesday, April 13 appearance on Today. 

    “Is that the experience you had?” asked host Willie Geist, to which De Niro replied: “My wife says that. I don’t remember. But my child is autistic. And every kid is different.”

    Mr De Niro, a father of six, wept as he discussed the film while being interviewed by Katie Couric after previously revealing: ‘If you’re a father, you certainly understand what it’s like to go through the worry about your kids, especially if they’ve got issues like Bradley’s character has.

    ‘Sometimes it can be overwhelming. It can be nightmarish and upsetting. There’s nothing much you can do but deal with it.’

    The Anthrax Vaccine Story.

    This film, produced by Oscar nominated filmmaker Scott Miller, provides exclusive interviews with military personnel who have had experience with the controversial anthrax vaccine.

    The film claims that over 35,000 soldiers have died from the anthrax vaccine, according to a “RAC-GWVI Government Report” published in 2008. Compare that to how many soldiers have died in combat in both Iraq and Afghanistan, which is 6753 at the time of the filming.

    The film starts out with a dramatized recreating of Lance Corporal Jared Schwartz, who refused to receive the anthrax vaccine. He had to face a military tribunal without legal counsel, and read a prepared statement. That statement can be found online, such as at the GulfWarVets.com website.

    The film also mentions how pharmaceutical companies have legal immunity from any injuries or deaths resulting from vaccines, and that the civilian population only has recourse to sue the federal government in a special Vaccine Court. However, military personnel are prohibited from suing in this court, which is part of the National Vaccine Compensation Program.

    Two new reports published in recent weeks add to the already large and convincing body of evidence, accumulated over more than half a century, that agricultural pesticides and other toxic chemicals are poisoning us.

    Both reports issue scathing indictments of U.S. and global regulatory systems that collude with chemical companies to hide the truth from the public, while they fill their coffers with ill-gotten profits.

    According to the World Health Organization, whose report focused on a range of environmental risks, the cost of a polluted environment adds up to the deaths of 1.7 million children every year.

    A report by the Special Rapporteur on the right to food, presented to the United Nations Human Rights Council, focused more narrowly on agricultural chemicals. The UN report states unequivocally that the storyline perpetuated by companies like Monsanto—the one that says we need pesticides to feed the world—is a myth. And a catastrophic one at that.

    ‘UN experts denounce ‘myth’ pesticides are necessary to feed the world’

    The headline in the Guardian’s story on the report delivered this week to the UN Human Rights Council said it all.

    From the Guardian:

    A new report, being presented to the UN human rights council on Wednesday, is severely critical of the global corporations that manufacture pesticides, accusing them of the “systematic denial of harms”, “aggressive, unethical marketing tactics” and heavy lobbying of governments which has “obstructed reforms and paralysed global pesticide restrictions.”

    The report says pesticides have “catastrophic impacts on the environment, human health and society as a whole”, including an estimated 200,000 deaths a year from acute poisoning. Its authors said: “It is time to create a global process to transition toward safer and healthier food and agricultural production.”

    The UN report was authored by Hilal Elver, special rapporteur on the right to food, and Baskut Tuncak, special rapporteur on toxics. The report stated that chronic exposure to pesticides has been linked to cancer, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, hormone disruption, developmental disorders and sterility. It said the populations most at risk are farmers and agricultural workers, communities living near plantations, indigenous communities and pregnant women and children, who are especially vulnerable to pesticide exposure and require special protections.

    The Crop Protection Association, a lobbying group representing the $50-billion agri-chemical industry, fired back at the report with its standard false claim that pesticides “play a key role in ensuring we have access to a healthy, safe, affordable and reliable food supply.” But Elver told the Guardian:

    “It is a myth. Using more pesticides is nothing to do with getting rid of hunger. According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), we are able to feed 9 billion people today. Production is definitely increasing, but the problem is poverty, inequality and distribution.”

    Sustainable Pulse also reported on the story, noting that the report warns that some pesticides can persist in the environment for decades:

    The excessive use of pesticides contaminates soil and water sources, causing loss of biodiversity, destroying the natural enemies of pests, and reducing the nutritional value of food. The impact of such overuse also imposes staggering costs on national economies around the world.

    The UN report, which mentioned (page 15, no 68) the efforts of the Monsanto Tribunal to raise global awareness about the dangers of pesticides, included a long list of recommendations for moving away from chemical-based agriculture.  At the top of the list was a call out to the international community to work on a comprehensive, binding treaty to regulate hazardous pesticides throughout their life cycle, taking into account human rights principles. Such a treaty should:

    •    Aim to remove existing double standards among countries that are particularly detrimental to countries with weaker regulatory systems

    •    Generate policies to reduce pesticide use worldwide and develop a framework for the banning and phasing-out of highly hazardous pesticides

    •    Promote agroecology

    •    Place strict liability on pesticide producers.

    ‘Exposure to pollution kills millions of children, WHO reports find’

    In a March 5 story, the Washington Post reported on two World Health Organization (WHO) reports how exposure to polluted environments is linked to more than one in four deaths among children under the age of five.

    Worldwide, 1.7 million children’s deaths are attributable to environmental hazards, such as exposure to contaminated water, indoor and outdoor pollution, and other unsanitary conditions, the reports found.

    Weaker immune systems make children’s health more vulnerable to harmful effects of polluted environments, the report says.

    According to the WHO reports, which focused on a wide range of chemicals, including those found in food, electronics, contaminated water supplies, second-hand tobacco smoke, and others, one-fourth of all children’s deaths and diseases in 2012 could have been prevented by reducing environmental risks.

    Vaccine Exemptions exist in Idaho. Your child IS NOT REQUIRE to be vaccinated to attend school or daycare. As a parent you have the responsibility to be aware of the law and NOT be bullied by school officials. Law says a statement from the parent is ALL that is required is a statement from parents. Health Department Rules say that statement must appear on their form. NO WHERE in the law does it require parents to provide personal information or admit to causing harm to their child by avoiding vaccinations. 

    There are 2 forms provided by the Department of Health. Legally you are required to make a statement of objection (you do not have to clarify that statement), your child’s name and birthday. Any additional information required by schools or the Health Department is illegal.

    IDAHO STATUTES CLEARLY STATE: VACCINES ARE NOT MANDATED FOR DAYCARE or SCHOOLS. LAWS CLEARLY STATE A PARENT’S WRITTEN STATEMENT IS AN ACCEPTABLE FORM OF IMMUNIZATION EXEMPTION. The Public Health Department refuses to accept a parents’ written affidavit, which leads many to wonder HOW IS THAT LEGAL?

    Idaho’s Health & Welfare Department created a mandatory immunization form that falls FAR OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF CURRENT STATUTES. The form demands parents to provide additional information, explanations and to sign acknowledgements that are not required in Idaho code. 

    Parents are being forced to sign a form that fall far outside the law and when they refuse to be bullied their children are denied school entrance.

    The Public Health department is getting away with creating their own rules and children are being denied access to daycare and schools. Regardless of your opinion on the efficacy of vaccines, it is unacceptable to allow the Department of Health to mandate a discriminatory form for school enrollment that violates privacy and is potentially self-incriminating.

    CDC numbers reflect its quite the opposite

    Actual data provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) shows that flu shot has ALWAYS been found to be remarkable ineffective. The number of people studied to determine this result exceeded 9000. When you look at the CDC’s table you’ll get a sense that it’s a ‘shot in the dark’ and more than half the people choosing to get the shot derived no benefit whatsoever.
    You would probably think that, since the CDC states the annual flu vaccine is the “best” way to avoid catching the seasonal flu, that it has been proven to be effective. Review the chartm using CDC’s OWN NUMBERS the flu shot has NEVER been very effective.
    In fact, it is hard to find ANY valid scientific evidence to support flu vaccine effectiveness or safety — and this is particularly true for key target groups for which the CDC says the flu shot is most important, like seniors, children and pregnant women!

    4250% INCREASE in FETAL DEATH REPORTED after flu shot

    The CDC deliberately misled the nation’s obstetricians and gynecology regarding the flu shot for pregnant women.

    If you’re pregnant, beware of doctors using aggressive fear tactics pushing you to get vaccinated. Here’s why…On September 27, 2012, the Human and Environmental Toxicology Journal (HET) published a study by Dr. Gary Goldman reporting a 4,250 percent increase in the number of miscarriages and stillbirths reported to VAERS in the 2009/2010 flu season. That year the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) had recommended the double-dosing pregnant mothers with two flu shots spiked with mercury.     Despite what your health practitioner will say as they attempt to convince you to get the flu vaccine, the shot has not been evaluated for cancer risks, safety in pregnant women, or safety in various age range categories for children.

    FLU VACCINE IS NOT JUST A DEAD VIRUS IN STERILE SOLUTION

    Influenza vaccines contain three or four influenza virus strains and are produced using either chicken eggs or genetically-engineered dog kidney. Vaccine ingredients may include: formaldehyde, antibiotics, hydrocortisone, non-human protein and genetic materials, polysorbate 80, Thimerosal, MSG (monosodium glutamate), all of which are considered poisonous to humans.

    The Influenza Vaccine clearly shows the vaccine contains Thimerosal a neurotoxin. Thimerosal, which is approximately 50% mercury by weight, has been one of the most widely used preservatives in vaccines.

    50,000 ppb Mercury = Concentration of mercury in multi-dose DTaP and Haemophilus B vaccine vials, administered 4 times each in the 1990’s to children at 2, 4, 6, 12 and 18 months of age.
    Current “preservative” level mercury in multi-dose flu (94% of supply), meningococcal and tetanus (7 and older) vaccines.
    By injecting mercury instead of ingesting it, you are essentially by-passing your inner filtration systems.  All of the mercury in a vaccine enters the blood stream, which leads straight to the brain.  Remember that toxic amounts of mercury is considered anything over 200 ppb, and the amount of mercury in a “thimerosal-free” flu vaccine is 300 to 600 ppb – the vaccine most commonly used contains 50,000 ppb.  When you ingest mercury, the amount that reaches your blood stream is much less than the actual amount you consumed.  When you vaccinate, the entire amount of mercury reaches your blood stream.

    THE FLU SHOT NOT SAFE.

    VAERS reporting reflects FLU VACCINE caused the most damage

    As of April 2016, 126,884 adverse reactions/events were reported for the flu shot to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System and it has the been the most compensated for vaccine injury. Vaccine manufacturer’s and providers administering vaccinations are exempt from lawsuit in the case of injury or death. Possible reactions include: Paralysis, severe allergic reaction,vomiting, chronic exhaustion, facial palsy, blood and lymphatic system disorders,convulsions and more.

    DOJ Quarterly Vaccine Injury Compensation Information

    Department of Justice numbers reported regarding quarterly vaccine injury information reveals that the flu shot remains the most dangerous vaccine based on injuries and death compensated by the U.S. Government.
    The estimated 1,000 claims that the VICP anticipates being filed in 2016 are projected to cost $224 million. Although the VICP was originally created by Congress to shield drug companies producing government licensed, recommended and mandated vaccines for children, today it is not children but adults injured by influenza vaccine who are receiving most of the compensation.

    Vaccine Injuries are Seldom Reported
    The U.S. Government keeps a database of reports documenting vaccine injuries and deaths called The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). The problem is that very few medical officials ever report vaccine injuries or deaths, either because they are not trained to recognized them, or due to pressure within their profession to not report them. To admit that vaccines do cause harm is professional suicide for most doctors and medical professionals.
    Hence, the quarterly DOJ report on vaccine cases only represents a tiny fraction of the actual cases that exist.
    One place we can get a glimpse of the amount of vaccine harm that is being caused in the U.S. today is to look at emergency room visits.     Washington, D.C. — 

    Some 15 years after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) banned chlorpyrifos from residential use, the agency proposed today to ban the neurotoxic pesticide from use in agricultural fields as well.

    The announcement came after a recent court of appeals decisions gave EPA a deadline to take meaningful action on a 2007 legal petition to ban the chemical.

    “This is what we have been seeking for years. EPA’s and other independent findings show that chlorpyrifos causes brain damage to children and poisons workers and bystanders,” said Patti Goldman, the Earthjustice attorney handling the case. “At long last, the agency is signaling its intention to protect children, workers and their families by banning this hazardous pesticide. It is imperative that EPA move quickly to protect workers and children by finalizing this important rule.”

    Calling EPA’s delay in regulating chlorpyrifos “egregious,” the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals recently ordered EPA to respond to the 2007 petition by October 30. The original lawsuit spurring the court deadline was filed by Earthjustice on behalf of Pesticide Action Network (PAN) and Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).

    “Given the incredibly strong science on the health harms of this pesticide, it’s absurd that EPA has taken so long to act,” said Dr. Margaret Reeves, Senior Scientist at PAN. “A ban will finally ensure that children, workers and families in rural communities are safe from this drift-prone, bad actor pesticide.”

    In December 2014, EPA acknowledged the extensive body of peer-reviewed science correlating chlorpyrifos exposure with brain damage to children, including reduced IQ, delayed development, and loss of working memory.

    And it found drinking water contamination, particularly harmful to infants, and serious risks to workers from handling chlorpyrifos or entering the fields after spraying.

    Ordered by a court to take regulatory action based on its scientific reviews, EPA is now proposing to revoke all chlorpyrifos tolerances.

    This would end all uses of chlorpyrifos that result in residues on food, contamination of drinking water, or drift to schools, homes, and other places people are located.

    The Legislature is being pressured by out of state vaccine advocate Paul Offit and local organizations, using false narratives. Their intent is to create a law that would prosecute parents who choose alternative methods of treatment for their sick children. Health Freedom Idaho is grateful that our Legislators have said, year after year, that laws are already in place under Child Protective Services and mandated reporting to protect children from abuse. Yesterday, November 17, 2017 KIVI news reported that this topic will be brought up again in the 2018 Legislative session. 

    Health Freedom Idaho will be there again to address this topic. The legislation that has been brought to date, and voted down, proposed increased mandated reporting by Doctors and healthcare workers, increased CPS supervision of families, and a decrease in parental choice in health care options.  <see Faith Healing Exemption> 

    There are concerns by many citizens of Idaho that the Legislature will put in a place a statute that will increase false allegations of “abuse” and erode parental authority in the health choice of their children.  Legislators have been reminded that receiving medical treatment at a doctor’s office or hospital does not ensure health or healing. It does not guarantee longevity or of lack of suffering. Millions of other parents hold faith in modern medicine, yet are not punished when a treatment fails and their child is subsequently injured or killed. 

    A May 2016 study conducted by Johns Hopkins researchers points to medical error as the third leading cause of death in the U.S. Looking to malpractice figures in Idaho, we see hundreds of doctors and nurses have erred in providing care to patients resulting in license suspension and revocation. Other research has revealed that, nationally, 14 of every 80 children suffer because of medical error by pediatric hospital staff. That’s 67 percent! Unfortunately, Idaho has no program in place to report adverse events and medical errors. Without the tracking of these vital statistics, Idaho doctors and hospitals can shield their fatal lapses in care, diagnostic mistakes, and dosage errors from public scrutiny. Some of these errors are FATAL.

    When a child died after being given the wrong dosage of medicine by St. Lukes Hospital in Idaho, the nurse was NOT prosecuted because his intent was not to kill the child. Why does the Legislature want to hold parents to a different standard when they choose alternative means of care (including prayer) when treating their child’s illness?

    Third Leading Cause of Death? MEDICIAL ERROR

    A study by researchers at Johns Hopkins Medicine says medical errors should rank as the third leading cause of death in the United States — and highlights how shortcomings in tracking vital statistics may hinder research and keep the problem out of the public eye.

    The authors, led by Johns Hopkins surgeon Dr. Martin Makary, call for changes in death certificates to better tabulate fatal lapses in care. In an open letter, they urge the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to immediately add medical errors to its annual list reporting the top causes of death.

    Based on an analysis of prior research, the Johns Hopkins study estimates that more than 250,000 Americans die each year from medical errors. On the CDC’s official list, that would rank just behind heart disease and cancer, which each took about 600,000 lives in 2014, and in front of respiratory disease, which caused about 150,000 deaths.

    Medical mistakes that can lead to death range from surgical complications that go unrecognized to mix-ups with the doses or types of medications patients receive.

    But no one knows the exact toll taken by medical errors. In significant part, that’s because the coding system used by CDC to record death certificate data doesn’t capture things like communication breakdowns, diagnostic errors and poor judgment that cost lives, the study says.

    The author is Dr. Barbara Starfield of the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and she desribes how the US health care system may contribute to poor health.

    ALL THESE ARE DEATHS PER YEAR:

    • 12,000 — unnecessary surgery
    • 7,000 — medication errors in hospitals
    • 20,000 — other errors in hospitals
    • 80,000 — infections in hospitals
    • 106,000 — non-error, negative effects of drugs

    These total to 225,000 deaths per year from iatrogenic causes!!

    What does the word iatrogenic mean? This term is defined as induced in a patient by a physician’s activity, manner, or therapy. Used especially of a complication of treatment.

    Dr. Starfield offers several warnings in interpreting these numbers:

    • First, most of the data are derived from studies in hospitalized patients.
    • Second, these estimates are for deaths only and do not include negative effects that are associated with disability or discomfort.
    • Third, the estimates of death due to error are lower than those in the IOM report.

    How does this affect Idaho? 

    Idaho doesn’t track medical errors. In fact, it took a special taskforce called by the Governor to track the causes of death in infants and children in the past several years. Medical errors can be easily covered and ignored by hospital adminstration, staff and left hidden from the public. 

    Occassionally a heart breaking story is revealed that leaves one to question our society’s unwaviering ‘faith’ in modern medicine. 

    St. Luke’s: Nurse’s Medication Error Resulted in Child Fatality

    One week after confirming an infant died at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center after receiving the wrong medication, hospital officials said Oct. 2 the 7-month-old died when he received a dose of saline solution infused with potassium phosphate intended for an adult patient.

    A family attorney revealed the child’s name as August Elliot.

    “One of our nurses prepared the adult patient’s medication solution at the nurse’s station,” the hospital said in the statement. “Sometime later, another nurse mistook that prepared bag as the one to be used for the child, took it into August’s room and administered it. Approximately 10 minutes later, August went into cardiac arrest and we began resuscitation efforts. Thirteen minutes into that effort, another nurse read the label on the bag and realized August was receiving the wrong medication.”

    Hospital officials wrote in a statement: “We missed at least one part of the standard procedure of administering medication,” and they were tightening their internal processes to minimize any chance of human error in the future.

    DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE FATAL DOSE WAS GIVEN IN ERROR – The nurse wasn’t charged with a criminal act. (Which brings into question the legislative need to criminalize the behavior of parents who do not intend on doing harm to their children when they choose alternative course of treatment (including prayer) for their children’s illness.

    The Twin Falls Times-News reports the findings from the hospital’s investigation have been forwarded to the nation’s top hospital accreditation board and the Twin Falls County Coroner.
