  • STOP the Meningitis Vaccine Mandate

IDHW is set to add another vaccine to the required high school schedule – Meningitis.
You can help stop it! Send 2 emails to the legislators on the health and welfare committee.

Parents don’t need to be manipulated to getting a vaccine that 90% of students already voluntarily receive
for a disease that affects 1 in a million people in Idaho a year.

Health Freedom Idaho opposes a meningococcal MenACWY vaccine mandate for all 12th grade students (who had not received a MenACWY vaccine after the age of 16) attending school in Idaho. The cost and risk veruses benefit clearly indicate that this vaccine mandate will not reduce the incidences of disease or mortality in Idaho. It will simply increase the cost of attending school.

Join Health Freedom Idaho in telling our Senators and Representatives on the Health and Welfare committees to vote AGAINST an additional meningitis vaccine for Idaho seniors. Remember Your legislators are not experts on every issue. They need the assistance of citizens who have experience in each category, to review these rules and provide input. Otherwise, they will be forced to rely primarily on legislative advisors (lobbyist) to provide answers to proposed rule questions.

SUBJECT LINE: Oppose Rule Change 16-0215-1802

    Dear <Representative> <Senator>

I urge you to vote against the rule change 16-0215-1802 which is an additional meningitis vaccine for our high school seniors.

CHOOSE THREE BULLET POINTS FROM BELOW and insert here OR delete this line and send the paragraph below.

The Health Department has not shown that mandating an additional MenACWY vaccine for more than 30,000 students annually will decrease the already low rates of 3 cases of meningitis in the state. This costly vaccine does not protect our students in college, as they promoting. The manufacturers state that the vaccine is ineffective against the most prevalent serotype B and 92% of college students who get vaccinated with MenACWY got meningitis on campus.

Please stop this vaccine mandate by voting NO on the rule change 16-0215-1802 (pg 91)

    Sincerely,

    <your name>

    City,

    IMPORTANT POINTS (choose 2 – 3)

    Disease Rare in U.S.
Invasive meningococcal infections are very rare in the U.S.
    2016 there were 372 cases.
31 of cases aged 16 -23 of the bacterial strains covered by the MenACWY vaccine.
This bacterial infection affects individuals with certain genetic, biological and environmental risk factors. 24

    Disease Rare in Idaho.

Incidence in Idaho is extremely low and almost nonexistent among children aged 10 to 19.
Immunization department stated in 2017 there is 1 male aged 19 who infected and an individual over 60.
Idaho has an average of 3 cases annually for all age groups for the past twelve years. 9

Disease Not Easily Transmitted in Public Setting.

The disease is not spread through casual contact or breathing the air where a person has been but requires sustained, close personal contact, such as kissing or sharing a toothbrush. 7

Vaccine Does Not Contain All Strains.
The four-strain vaccine MenACWY does not contain serotype B that causes about 60 percent of invasive infections. 1
The MenACWY vaccine insert states specifically that the vaccine does not cover the serotype B found in most college outbreaks.

The vaccine does not protect against the more prevalent bacteria found on college campuses.
92% of college students contracting meningitis were vaccinated with the MenACWY vaccine. 24

    Mandate Is Expensive.
Idaho Immunization Department lists the cost of Menactra under the CDC contract is $91.81 per dose. The cost of Menveo is $73.83 per dose.  25 A portion of this vaccine mandate will be paid by the taxpayers under the Idaho Immunization Program (IIP)

Voluntary use of MenACWY is increasing in Idaho.

Parents and doctors already have a discussion about the MenACWY vaccine with 90.5% VOLUNTARILY vaccinating without government interference. CDC shows a steady annual voluntary increase of about 5% annually  in Idaho for the MenACWY vaccine.
2017 reports reflect 90.5%  received a MenACWY vaccine. Up from 86.5% the previous year. 26

    Vaccine Injuries Occur.
Brain and immune system disorders have been reported following receipt of MenACWY, including Guillain Barre Syndrome, and a new study has linked the vaccine with Bell’s Palsy when it is given simultaneously with other vaccines.

Meningococcal organisms are naturally present in the nasal passages of humans.

The vast majority of children and adults colonize the bacteria without symptoms and then they are protected from invasive meningococcal infections.  Between 10 and 20 percent of people at any given time are actively colonizing meningococcal organisms, which boosts innate immunity to invasive infection. 2 3

A tiny percentage of individuals are more vulnerable to invasive meningococcal infections.
Individuals with certain genotypes or immune deficiencies are at 5,000 to 7,000 times greater risk for developing invasive infections that lead to sepsis, loss of limbs and death. 4 5 Other risk factors include active or passive smoking; a recent respiratory infection; crowded living conditions; alcohol use; and an underlying chronic illness, such as HIV infection. 6

Invasive meningococcal disease is not easily transmitted in a public setting.
An individual must be susceptible to invasive meningococcal infection and have regular, close personal contact with a person who is colonizing meningococcal organisms, such as exchange of saliva through kissing or sharing a toothbrush. 7

    Vaccine Immunity Wanes
In 2005, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommended in 2005 that all 11-year old children get a dose of the four-strain meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY). 10 About 60 percent of invasive meningococcal infections are caused by serotype B, but MenACWY only contains serotypes A, C, Y, and W-135. 11 12
In 2011, the CDC recommended a MenACWY booster dose at age 16 after discovering that MenACWY immunity wanes within 2 to 5 years. 13
MenACWY is one of the more expensive pediatric vaccines on the U.S. market, costing a $92 per shot in a private pediatrician’s office, not including administration fees, and up to $74 per shot through the federally subsidized Vaccines for Children program. 14

Based on outstanding questions about duration of immunity and cost-effectiveness, in 2015 the CDC did not recommend the newly licensed MenB vaccine for use by all adolescents. 15  By 2015, voluntary use of MenACWY among Idaho teens had increased to 6 percent with increases reflected annual over the past several years. 26

Vaccine manufacturers describe reported vaccine reactions and injuries and deaths following MenACWY administration.

The list includes irritability, abnormal crying, fever, drowsiness, fatigue, injection site pain and swelling, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, joint pain, sudden loss of consciousness (syncope), brain inflammation, convulsions, Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) and death.18 A study published in January 2017 linked an increased risk of Bell’s Palsy for 11-12-year-olds given MenACWY simultaneously with other vaccines. 19 In 2007, the National Vaccine Information Center reported an increase in serious adverse event reports to VAERS, including GBS, when meningococcal vaccine was given simultaneously with HPV vaccine to young girls. 20

More than 3,843 MenACWY reactions have been reported to the government.

As of September 21, 2018, there have been 3843 reports of MCV4 adverse events made to the federal Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS), including 73 deaths. 21 It is widely recognized that only between one and 10 percent of vaccine adverse events are ever reported to VAERS. 22 23

Idaho Vaccine Mandates for high school this isn’t a new LAW its a new RULE. Here’s information on the difference. https://repheatherscott.com/rules-regulations/
  • Not in my backyard! Neighbors Unite to Stop Cell Tower Coming to Rural Eagle Community

A proposed pine tree ‘disguised’ cell tower in the middle of a lot in Eagle has residents calling for reform. Rural Eagle Residents call the tower an eyesore and worry about property values, as its placement is within 80 steps of the nearest home. Cell towers are industrial structures and need to be confined to commercial or industrial properties and not pollute neighborhood communities. Homeowners in the neighborhood off Beacon Light between Ballanytne & Eagle Rd fear that not only will the tower be an eyesore, it will decimate property values. The proposed tower marker is literally place approximately 20 steps from the closest property line, and 80 steps from the nearest homes. This doesn’t not account for the 50 x 50 foot enclosure place within steps of property lines.

We must unite in this effort to protect our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  While we are not opposed to improved telecommunications, there are much less controversial, and intrusive areas for such development where safe placement is AWAY FROM OUR NEIGHBORHOODS. The placement of this tower directly in the middle of residential homes must be STOPPED.  Homeowners all over the country with towers being erected near their homes are dealing with value losses up to 20% or more!

Can you imagine the NOISE NUISANCE from AC units & generators? There are ample disturbing publications in recent research by top world renowned scientists and doctors over the UNKNOWN HEALTH RISKS of long-term effects of exposure to cell towers which emit high-frequency radio waves, or microwaves. Safe distance from these towers is .25 miles.  INSIDE of the .25 mile is an unsafe area! The closer you are, the greater the danger. The microwaves from cell phone towers have been shown to interfere with your body’s own EMFs, causing a variety of potential health problems, including Headaches, Memory loss, Cardiovascular stress, Low sperm count, Birth defects, and Cancer.  Who is responsible for the emotional and physical harm caused to these families?

This action may not effect you right now but if we don’t unite against this violation now than it won’t take long before we find a cell tower going up
    in our own back yard.

    -Miste Karlfeldt Health Freedom Idaho

REACT (Rural Eagle Against Cell Towers) Unite Organization was formed by residents of Eagle, ID to STOP neighbors from putting a Cell Tower in our backyard. The organization hopes to stop the implementation of this cell tower and help to establish ordinances that will keep cell towers out of residential areas across the state.

     React Unite states:

“While we are not opposed to improved telecommunications, there are much less controversial, and intrusive areas for such development where safe placement is AWAY FROM OUR NEIGHBORHOODS. We are petitioning for this tower to be STOPPED, and moved onto non-residential property, where towers are currently built on, and it belong.”

    TAKE ACTION!

SIGN THE PETITION AND JOIN THE 60+ HOMES WITHIN 1,000 FT OF IMPACT NOW!

Commissioners Main Hearing Room #1235 (first floor)
200 W Front St, Boise, ID

At this meeting React Unite and local supporters hope to accomplish the following:

    1. Tell ADA COUNTY PLANNING & ZONING TO DENY THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT required to erect this COMMERCIAL tower on RESIDENTIAL ZONED PROPERTY and to RESPECT AND PROTECT CITY OF EAGLE PROPERTY OWNERS INVESTMENTS, PRIVACY, QUALITY OF LIFE, SAFETY & HEALTH.
    2. Tell POWDER RIVER DEVELOPMENT, LLC of Eagle, in conjunction with HORIZON TOWER, LLC of California on behalf of VERIZON, to MOVE THE TOWER TO A NON-RESIDENTIAL AREA, and hold them accountable for MISLEADING OUR RESIDENTS with the following information:
    3. Tell  the owners of 2557 N. SKY VIEW LANE, EAGLE, ID that  moving to our beautiful state and misusing their residential property  for business and financial gain at the expense of the City of Eagle, ID residents is not OK!
      PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR DECISION!
      • THE PROPERTY OWNERS DO NOT LIVE ON PROPERTY WHICH IS ZONED ADA COUNTY, NOT CITY OF EAGLE.
      • THE PROPERTY OWNERS DISCREETLY SIGNED A LEASE WITH VERIZON IN DECEMBER  2017 FOR A MONTHLY LEASE PAYOUT. WE WERE NOT INFORMED UNTIL MAY, NOR  CONSIDERED IN THEIR DECISION.
      • THE PROPOSED TOWER MARKER IS LITERALLY PLACED APPROXIMATELY 20 STEPS FROM THE CLOSEST PROPERTY LINE, AND 80 STEPS FROM NEAREST HOMES! THIS DOES NOT ACCOUNT FOR THE 50×50 FOOT ENCLOSURE PLACED WITHIN STEPS OF OUR PROPERTY LINES!

Misleading communication, lack of proper public notification, and actions that fall outside the city codes are all part of this scheme to undermine the health and privacy property rights of the citizens of Eagle.  All information is readily available online and quite telling.

Ada County MUST Deny this COMMERCIAL CELL TOWER on residential property, and all proposed towers on residential property, steps from homes.#getthecellout #stopverizon #stoppowderriverdevelopment#stophorizontower

  • Grow a Detoxing 100-Year-Old Food Forest in Your Backyard in Just 10 Years

Now surrounded by cities and agriculture, humans are no longer living in their “natural” habitat. Industrial engineer turned forest perma-agriculturalist  Shubhendu Sharma. His methods enable him to grow a 300-tree forest in the space of 6 parked cars. Amazingly, the cost of growing a forest is roughly the same as an iPhone.

Not only do trees help to detox the air and the soil, they can block the new 5G emissions from those who are emf sensitive and studies show trees help to reduce stress levels naturally. (Study: The More Trees We’re Surrounded By, The Lower Our Stress Levels)

Shubhendu Sharma was an industrial engineer for Toyota hired to offset some of the carbon emissions of the company’s factories. Sharma solution was to plant mini forests right next door. He uses the Miyawaki method, which was developed by Akira Miyawaki, “a Japanese botanist and expert in plant ecology, specializing in seeds and the study of natural forests. He is active worldwide as a specialist in the restoration of natural vegetation on degraded land. (Since 1993, he has been Professor Emeritus at Yokohama National University and Director of the Japanese Center for International Studies in Ecology. He received the Blue Planet Prize in 2006.”)

Since then his company Afforest has helped “build” 75 such forests in 25 cities across the world. Sharma’s forests grow 10 times faster, are 100 times more biodiverse and 30 times more lush than typical reforestation projects. He used his model for manufacturing as many cars as possible per square feet of factory space and applied it to growing trees. His methods enable him to grow a 300-tree forest in the space of 6 parked cars. Amazingly, the cost of growing a forest is roughly the same as an iPhone.

“We discovered every single element needed to make a forest is right around us,” Sharma said. “All we have to do is bring these elements together and let nature take over.”

“We start with soil. We touch, feel and even taste it to identify what properties it lacks.” Next, his company mixes in local biomass — compost, manure, etc. — to help compacted soil become more porous and allow water to seep in. “If the soil is lacking nutrients, we don’t just add nutrients directly to the soil — that’s the industrial way,” he says.

Instead, he adds microorganisms that feed on the biomass and convert it into more bioavailable nutrients. “As the number of microorganisms grows, the soil starts breathing again,” he says. “It becomes alive.” When planning a mini forest, Sharma’s company starts by determining which tree species were native to the area before human intervention.

Then they decide whether they want a fruit forest, a flower forest, a forest that attracts a lot of birds or bees, or an evergreen forest, and chose different species for each layer — canopy, tree layer, sub tree layer and shrubs.

Then, they collect the seeds, germinate the saplings, and plant them in a tight-knit pattern that intersperses the various species.

Next, they spread a thick layer of mulch to hold in moisture during the summer and protect the soil from frost during the winter.

This makes for extremely soft soil, allowing roots to penetrate and grow quickly. Within 3 months the roots reach one meter deep and form a mesh holding the soil together. Microbes and fungi make nutrients available to the roots. The forest is watered and weeded for two to three years, but as the forest grows it blocks the sunlight and weeds stop growing.

Shortly after this, the canopy becomes so dense, the forest retains every drop of water, eliminating the need for watering. The forest floor remains moist and dark, enabling leaves to decay quickly and become food for the soil. As more and more leaves fall, creating more and more food for the soil, the forest starts growing exponentially, Sharma says.

“If the tree species were planted independently, they wouldn’t grow so fast,” he says. “This is how we create a hundred year old forest in just ten years.” For more details on forest-scaping your yard, check out Sharma’s website Afforestt.com.

Other successes in recreating forest environments include “Ernst Gotsch”. He has a +40 year old forest of his own, in Brasil, made on a 400 acres of what everyone said it was sterile land, dead land. Now 40 years later, that same patch of land already has 9 water springs that came back to life, and produces one of the best cocoa in the world.

  • Flu Vaccine Fails 99% in New Cochrane Review

On February 1, 2018, the independent Cochrane group released its latest findings on the flu vaccine showing flu vaccine fails 99% of the time. Cochrane is a global independent network of researchers in more than 130 countries who strive to produce credible, accessible health information that is free from commercial sponsorship and other conflicts of interest. They do not take Big Pharma money. Therefore, their studies deserve attention when they are released.

    (1) The scientists studied randomized, controlled trials comparing the flu vaccine with placebo or no intervention. They included 52 clinical trials of over 80,000 people assessing the safety and effectiveness of flu vaccines in healthy adults. The studies were conducted between 1969 and 2009.

The authors found that flu vaccines probably reduced influenzas in healthy adults from 2.3% without vaccination to 0.9% with.

That means that the difference between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated is 1.4% or 0.014. Therefore, 71 people would need to be treated with the flu vaccine to prevent one case (1/1.4%). In other words, the flu vaccine did nothing for 70 out of 71 who received it. That means this study found the flu vaccine failed 99% (71/72).

There was more bad news for the flu vaccine in this study. The flu vaccine is touted as decreasing the risk of hospitalizations from the flu. I’m not sure how that happens since the vaccine has never been shown to be very effective against preventing the flu. In this study they found the risk of hospitalization in those that received the flu vaccine declined from 14.7% to 14.1%. That is a 0.6% decline. That means the flu vaccine fails over 99% (165/166) in preventing hospitalizations. Furthermore, the independent researchers found the flu vaccine “…may lead to little or no small reduction in days off work.” To make matter worse, the flu vaccine was shown to cause an increase in fever from 1.5% to 2.3%. Oy vey.

Why would anyone get a flu vaccine when it fails 99% who receive it?

Why would any physician prescribe a therapy, which is associated with serious adverse effects, that fails 99% who receive it?

Why are health care workers forced to receive a flu vaccine when it is consistently shown to fail nearly 99% who get them? And, there is not a single well-done study showing that vaccinating health care workers with the flu vaccine protects against the spread of flu.

Folks, the flu vaccine is a disaster. I can understand why President Trump does not get the flu shot. I cannot understand why anyone would allow themselves to be injected with a failed flu vaccine.

  • Another New Scientific Discovery in the Gut-Brain Connection

On the heels of the discovery that that 100 gut bacteria can produce electricity is the newly discovered gut-brain connection That gut brain connection is becoming clearer. We must never assume science is settled, huge discoveries are being made yearly that impact our understanding of the process of hormones, immunity, detoxing and cell communication throughout our body.

The discovery of the size and complexity of the human microbiome has resulted in an ongoing reevaluation of many concepts of health and disease, including diseases affecting the CNS. A growing body of preclinical literature has demonstrated bidirectional signaling between the brain and the gut microbiome, involving multiple neurocrine and endocrine signaling mechanisms.

The human gut is lined with more than 100 million nerve cells—it’s practically a brain unto itself. And indeed, the gut actually talks to the brain, releasing hormones into the bloodstream that, over the course of about 10 minutes, tell us how hungry it is, or that we shouldn’t have eaten an entire pizza. But a new study reveals the gut has a much more direct connection to the brain through a neural circuit that allows it to transmit signals in mere seconds. The findings could lead to new treatments for obesity, eating disorders, and even depression and autism—all of which have been linked to a malfunctioning gut.

The study reveals “a new set of pathways that use gut cells to rapidly communicate with … the brain stem,” says Daniel Drucker, a clinician-scientist who studies gut disorders at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute in Toronto, Canada, who was not involved with the work. Although many questions remain before the clinical implications become clear, he says, “This is a cool new piece of the puzzle.”

In 2010, neuroscientist Diego Bohórquez of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, made a startling discovery while looking through his electron microscope. Enteroendocrine cells, which stud the lining of the gut and produce hormones that spur digestion and suppress hunger, had footlike protrusions that resemble the synapses neurons use to communicate with each other. Bohórquez knew the enteroendocrine cells could send hormonal messages to the central nervous system, but he also wondered whether they could “talk” to the brain using electrical signals, the way that neurons do. If so, they would have to send the signals through the vagus nerve, which travels from the gut to the brain stem.

He and colleagues injected a fluorescent rabies virus, which is transmitted through neuronal synapses, into the colons of mice and waited for the enteroendocrine cells and their partners to light up. Those partners turned out to be to vagal neurons, the researchers report today in Science.

In a petri dish, enteroendocrine cells reached out to vagal neurons and formed synaptic connections with each other. The cells even gushed out glutamate, a neurotransmitter involved in smell and taste, which the vagal neurons picked up on within 100 milliseconds—faster than an eyeblink.

That’s much faster than hormones can travel from the gut to the brain through the bloodstream, Bohórquez says. Hormones’ sluggishness may be responsible for the failures of many appetite suppressants that target them, he says. The next step is to study whether this gut-brain signaling provides the brain with important information about the nutrients and caloric value of the food we eat, he says.

There are some obvious advantages to superfast gut-brain signaling, such as detecting toxins and poison, but there may be other perks to sensing the contents of our guts in real time, he says. Whatever those are, there’s a good chance the benefits are ancient—gut sensory cells date back to one of the first multicellular organisms, a flat creature called Trichoplax adhaerens, which arose roughly 600 million years ago.

Additional clues about how gut sensory cells benefit us today lie in a separate study, published today in Cell. Researchers used lasers to stimulate the sensory neurons that innervate the gut in mice, which produced rewarding sensations the rodents worked hard to repeat. The laser stimulation also increased levels of a mood-boosting neurotransmitter called dopamine in the rodents’ brains, the researchers found.

Combined, the two papers help explain why stimulating the vagus nerve with electrical current can treat severe depression in people, says Ivan de Araujo, a neuroscientist at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, who led the Cell study. The results may also explain why, on a basic level, eating makes us feel good. “Even though these neurons are outside the brain, they perfectly fit the definition of reward neurons” that drive motivation and increase pleasure, he says.

  • The Risk.

Three billion, nine hundred fifty-seven million, nine hundred twenty-two thousand, five hundred seventy-three and fifty-four cents. Do you know what that represents? The payout to a tiny percentage of families who suffered severe vaccine injury.

  • Your Employer CANNOT Force Vaccinations or a Mask

Attention Healthcare Workers! Your employer is guilty of discrimination when they force you to vaccinate against your religious and/or moral conscience. They are guilty of discrimination when they force you to wear a mask. While the federal government doesn’t have the authority to override the state’s vaccine mandates, it can enforce the right to freedom of religion or moral conscience for those individuals who are against vaccines. There are several opportunities for employees to protect their rights and their employment in the healthcare field.

Religious conscience is tied to a religious tenet or belief. Moral conscience is similar to a religious exemption but goes further and is more like a personal belief exemption and doesn’t rely on a religious tenet.

Complaints filed at the HHS Conscience and Religious Freedom Division

What is this department and how can it help employees?

This will be investigated by the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division of the Health and Human Services Department established in January 2018 by the Trump Administration. This department provides oversight to all entities that receive HHS funding to ensure they are not violating religious/moral conscience rights.

Federal statutes protect health care provider conscience rights and prohibit recipients of certain federal funds from discriminating against health care providers who refuse to participate in these services based on moral objections or religious beliefs.

What is the consequence to the employer who participates in moral/religious discrimination?

An entity receiving federal funding through HHS has the potential of losing the federal funding if they violate an individual’s right for religious or moral conscience. It appears that the rules updated November 2018 do NOT exclude vaccinations.

This could be an opening to ensure that all vaccine coercion at a state level is stopped from a federal level.

How can you know if your employer is receiving federal funds?

There are very few organizations that do NOT receive federal from under the umbrella of programs from HHS.

Has Your Conscience or Religious Freedom Been Violated?

File a Conscience or Religious Freedom Complaint

Complaints filed earlier this year are currently in review. It is critical that all those who have experienced discrimination file a complaint.

We want to flood the system – with this legitimate discrimination issue – there are people being discriminated across the US. You have the right and responsibility to file a complaint- THIS is how we are going to ensure a religious exemption/moral conscience exemption are in place for every person.

A Mask is a Discrimination. Can You File a Complaint?

Is a mask a HIPPA Violation? A Civil Rights Violation?

We will hear from vaccine exemption advocate Alan Phillips JD as he clears up the confusion on forced flu mask policies.

Those entities that have an exemption policy and yet force only individuals who are unvaccinated to wear a mask – could this still fall under the HHS discrimination complaint? It is discrimination. In fact, lawsuits have been won on this very point, as it is singling out a specific group of individuals based on their religious or philosophical beliefs.

Christian Hilderbrand of a Voice for Choice Advocacy helped to clarify this issue as its ‘a fine line’ complaint to HHS.

“While a complaint can be made that an employee doesn’t have a religious/conscious exemption for vaccination there is a fine line about being forced to wear a mask. With an exemption in place, that could be like saying “my employer is making me wear pink scrubs.”

HFI suggests that this is a HIPAA violation since the nurses vaccination status is being broadcast by his/her specific uniform differences. We encourage all to file a complaint and help bring awareness to the problem.

HFI’s suggestion, file a complaint with HHS and a lawsuit in your local court.

    Background

Vaccine requirements are put in place by each state. Most universities, colleges, schools, and hospitals do have vaccine requirements while most provide religious or philosophical exemptions. Those exemptions can be hard to find unless a parent or employee looks hard or asks explicitly, often times the option will not be offered.

While the federal government cannot restrict or enforce vaccine mandates they can protect individuals facing discrimination in this area. In January 2018 the current administration established a new federal department under the HHS that was designed “to restore federal enforcement of our nation’s laws that protect the fundamental and unalienable rights of conscience and religious freedom” and specifically provides oversite to those organizations that receive federal funding.  This new department is called the  “The Conscience and Religious Freedom Division”.

    from the site: https://www.hhs.gov/conscience/conscience-protections/index.html

“Conscience protections apply to health care providers who refuse to perform, accommodate, or assist with certain health care services on religious or moral grounds.”

    Who should file a complaint?

You may file a complaint under the Federal Health Care Provider Conscience Protection Statutes if you believe you have experienced discrimination because of you:

    • Objected to, participated in, or refused to participate in specific medical procedures, including abortion and sterilization, and related training and research activities
    • Were coerced into performing procedures that are against your religious or moral beliefs

    Healthcare workers

denied employment or been discriminated against while employed

    • in a hospital,
    • skilled nursing or other residential care facility,
    • health care provider office inpatient or outpatient health care center,
    • medical laboratory,
    • ambulance service,
    • direct health or medical insurance carrier,
    • a facility serving elderly or persons with disabilities,
    • health care provider office

Clients & Consumers Seeking Access to Shelter

    • denied entry into a facility serving persons with disabilities or group home

Clients & Consumers Access to Programs

    • Developmental Disability Programs
    • Foster care Licensing

    Clients & Consumers Denied Care

    • Denied care or discriminated against in a hospital,
    • Denied care at health care provider office or inpatient or outpatient healthcare facilities
