  • Epigentics, Toxins and Autism Increase

Autism genetic? If autism was purely a genetic problem then the numbers should be 1 in 100 from here until the dawn of time.  The autistic should be part of our culture, the stories we tell, the very fabric of our society.  But they’re not.  Instead we have stories about the tidal wave of adults with autism we can expect in the next few years and how poorly prepared we are for them.  Nobody saw this problem until it was first described in the 1940s.  From that time it’s gone from 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 100.

With that rate of increase, can it be long until it goes to 1 in 10?  We need to find answers.

Contrary to the common thought, its NOT JUST the vaccines. Non-vaccinated children can get Autism because Autism is neurological damage, and there are various ways to inflict brain damage on children. (Learn More about Brain Damage and Autism: Read Vaccines Don’t Cause Autism)

Saying that, vaccines cause the most brain damage by far. Heavy metal and toxin exposure in the womb can also trigger Autism, even without vaccines. Fluoride in our water bonds with metal ions like aluminum from vaccines in our blood, ushers it across the blood brain barrier and deposits it in our neurons. Once there, the neurotoxic fluoroaluminate complex destroys the neuron. Yes, there are many synergistic effects between the contents of vaccines and other toxins in the environment. Fluoride gets into our blood from drinking and bathing water, food, pharmaceutical drugs, dental products and procedures, industrial air pollution , etc. Americans are receiving too much fluoride and the visible sign is the dental fluorosis in 41% of adolescents. And that’s just one toxin. The thing about vaccines is that the toxins are injected which makes them far more damaging. Vaccination and fluoridation programs are something we can stop. We can stop deliberately poisoning ourselves. 2

(For one example, if the mother has a mouth full of mercury fillings, that mercury can be passed on to the baby in the womb, thus harming the baby’s brain before it’s even born). It’s important to remember that every human begins in their maternal grandmother.  A female fetus developed her ovaries and the eggs within at 4 months development within the womb.

    Epigenetics: The Science of Change

Derived from the Greek, the word epigenetics literally means “above” genetics. Epigenetics is the study of chemical markers that modify genes but are not part of DNA itself. Like DNA, they can be passed on from cell to cell and from one generation to the next. These modifications are superimposed on top of our genes to tell them whether they should be active or inactive. For example, every cell in your body has the same DNA; however, some cells are specialized for use in the heart, the bones, the brain, the nerves, the stomach, etc. These cells become specialized because different sets of genes are turned on or off at different points in cell development, leading to differences in the types and amounts of proteins produced and determining how the cells look, grow, and act. This is epigenetics in action…

Epigenetics is the theory that environmental factors, such as diet, lifestyle choices and pesticides can impact the health of people who are exposed to them and also their descendants. Human DNA, according to epigenetics, is not unchangeable; it can be altered by such environmental factors. Epigenetic changes can be imprinted on the DNA of a fetus during pregnancy according to Winchester.

“If it is fixed then, it becomes inheritable and it becomes a trait that you can pass on to the next generation and the next and next.”

Epigenetics is a fairly new concept that is slowly gaining acceptance.

The accumulated evidence indicates that many genes, diseases, and environmental substances are part of the epigenetics picture. However, the evidence is still far too thin to form a basis for any overarching theories about which substances and which target genes are most likely to mediate adverse effects of the environment on diseases. 1

    Environmental Damage

The synthetic Vitamin K shot given to infants at birth can be just as detrimental to newborn development as vaccines are.

Epigentic Studies on rodents show that DNA methylation can be altered by many different kinds of exposures during the fetal as well as the adult life. 3

Epigentic damage carries on for up to 4 generations. So it would take 4 generations of no vaccines to be totally clean genetically.

  • How to Minimize Wireless Radiation Exposure while Pregnant

Pregnancy is one of the most exciting times in a Mother’s life.  It can also be very overwhelming- you want to do everything right and give your baby the best possible start in life.  You might be reading a lot, or looking online for all kinds of tips and ideas about pregnant life.  One thing you might not encounter is how your EMF exposure might be affecting your baby.

It has been well established that the health of our smallest family members are more affected by electromagnetic fields than adults (mostly due to a still-developing nervous system and thinner skulls and bone structure).

According to researcher Ann Louise Gittleman in her book Zapped,

When it comes to EMFs, studies have shown that [children’s] thinner skulls and bones allow them to absorb twice the amount of radiation as a grown-up. EMFs can more deeply penetrate their brain tissue, which is more conductive than an adult’s because it contains a higher concentration of fluid and ions. One study found that a cell pone call lasting only two minutes causes brain hyperactivity that persists or an hour in children.

    • Cell phones emit radio frequency radiation (RF). RF has been shown to damage cellular DNA, which may lead to cancerous mutations. Even low-level RF exposure causes the body to create heat stress proteins, a temporarily protective measure that is harmful if this stress response is chronic.
    • The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified cell phone radiation as a Class 2B Carcinogen – the same class as the pesticide DDT and lead!
    • According to the Environmental Working Group, childrens’ brains absorb twice the amount of cell phone radiation as adults’ brains (source)
    • Studies on the health effects of cell phone radiation have mixed results. But does funding bias contribute to the controversial results?  This study published in the Environmental Health Perspectives journal found that industry-funded research was vastly more likely to show no health effects (72% – no effect, 28% – effect) versus independently-funded research (67% – effect, 33% – no effect).
    • As recorded in the book Zapped, Dr. Ronald Herberman, M.D., a director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, said, “Although the evidence is controversial, I am convinced that there are sufficient data to  warrant issuing an advisory to share some precautionary advice on cell phone use.” He counseled his staff to limit the amount of time they spend on their cell phones and to avoid making calls in public places “where you can passively expose others to your phone’s electromagnetic fields.”
    • The BioInitiative Report has compiled up-to-date research on the effects of EMFs and RFs. According to the document, which can be viewed here (PDF), “The great strength of the BioInitiative Report (www.bioinitiative.org) is that it has been done independent of governments, existing bodies and industry professional societies that have clung to old standards. Precisely because of this, the BioInitiative Report presents a solid scientific and public health policy assessment that is evidence-based.”
    • According to the BioInitiative report, “Roughly, 1800 new studies have been published [between 2007 and 2012] reporting effects at [radiation/EMF] exposure levels ten to hundreds or thousands of times lower than allowed under safety limits in most countries of the world.”

During pregnancy you have a unique opportunity to protect your baby from these insults and to help them to have the safest start in life that they possibly can. You might be thinking, ‘But wifi and cell phones are everywhere!  I can’t avoid them all.’ And you would be correct, however, Given the research, it only makes sense to incorporate cell phone safety measures into your life.

Here are 3 ways to reduce your exposure to cell phone radiation:

    1. When it comes to cell phone radiation, the vital factor is the proximity of the phone to your vital organs – particularly your brain. Distance yourself from the phone and/or wireless laptop.

    2. Did you know that you are most vulnerable to environmental toxins and radiation when you are sleeping? Turn it off at night.

    3.  Even when you aren’t making a call, the phone is emitting constant radiation to connect to the nearest antenna. Avoid “wearing” your phone, so keep it out of your pockets and don’t clip it onto your belt.

It is not paranoia to exercise caution with your children and cell phone radiation – it is wisdom!

In 2013, a panel consisting of five leading experts on EMFs and children’s health gathered to give their safety recommendations (you can listen to the recording of the panel here). They urged that children should not use cell phones except in emergencies and should not play with radiating phones – even if the phone is on airplane mode, the battery is still emitting magnetic fields. Pregnant women and couples wishing to conceive should also exercise more extreme caution and should strictly follow the previous tips in this post.

Here is an index of nearly 40 scientific studies looking at the health risks of pregnancy and EMF’s. If you’re pregnant, or know someone who is, please take a moment to consider the seriousness of this issue.

Some mother’s choose to invest in clothes that will shield the baby from this radiation exposure. Belly Armor is a company that makes blankets, women’s clothing, men’s clothing, baby gear, and other items that you can wear or use in your home to block EMF’s from the environment.  There are many other companies offering similar solutions.

It is well worth your time to do a little research on these products and change habits. The health of your child is worth it!

  • Cell Phones Harm our Cells and Can Trigger Chronic Disease

Dr. Mercola discusses in this video about whether cellphone exposure causes brain tumors may be counterproductive.

The primary pathology behind cellphone damage is not related specifically to brain tumors, or even to cancer. Instead, the real danger lies in damage from the reactive nitrogen species peroxynitrites. Increased peroxynitrites from cellphone exposure will damage your mitochondria.

Protect Yourself and Your Family From Long-Term Health Damage

While cellphone use is ubiquitous, and there’s no turning back now, there are strategies you can use to protect yourself from RF radiation emitted from these devices. Remember, your cellphone, portable phone, Wi-Fi router and modem are the primary devices in your home emitting microwave radiation consistently.

To protect yourself and your family, get in the habit of using these strategies regularly. Cell damage builds over time. It may feel safe to use your devices as you always have since you don’t experience the health effects immediately, but it definitely is not.

Keep the phone away from your head

Consider moving your cellphone away from your head when it’s turned on or the Wi-Fi, data or Bluetooth are enabled. You may do this by using a selfie-stick, speaking on the speaker phone or using a headset. Short conversations and texting more than talking also reduce your exposure.

Increase your distance from RF-emitting devices

The closer the device, the more radiation you absorb. Find a way to transport your phone other than you pants pocket or bra, and avoid keeping your phone and tablets in your bedroom while you’re sleeping.

    Turn off your Wi-Fi routers

When they aren’t in use, such as at night, turn your Wi-Fi, modem and cellphone off. Many routers can be linked with an inexpensive remote, making the process simple and easy.

    Spices may reduce damage

Researchers have discovered certain spices may help prevent or repair damage from peroxynitrites.47,48 Spices rich in phenolics, specifically cloves, rosemary, turmeric, cinnamon and ginger root exhibited some protective capacity against peroxynitrite-induced damage.

However, while this is good news, it is not a reason to ignore strategies that reduce your exposure to electromagnetic radiation, since your home is not the only place you are at risk. Any public venue that hosts Wi-Fi or has a cellular tower nearby increases your exposure to microwave radiation.

Some of the most important steps I cannot report on yet as I am in the process of evaluating shielding EMF remediation strategies, such as Faraday canopies for beds and EMF-shielding paint. Once I complete my analysis I will report on it. One thing I am certain of, though, is that the hundreds, or more likely thousands, of devices that you can attach to your phone do nothing to reduce this radiation exposure. They fail miserably in blocking this energy.

They may have some biological benefit in mediating the way this energy interacts with your body, but I would not delude myself into believing this is sufficient and fail to adopt the proactive protective measures described above.
