  • Lawmakers

Idaho’s Legislative Sessions run from approximately January – April. As an active citizen in maintaining our government, there will be many times during the session that bills will come across that will need your attention. Our CALLS TO ACTION requests that your email and call the Legislators to let them know your stance on a bill.

You have 2 Representatives and 1 Senator. If you know your district, you can find their complete contact information at the Idaho Legislature Website here. If you don’t know your district you can look that up by address here.

Here are the EMAIL CONTACTS for the Legislative Session in 2021. Keep these email links handy! They will use a LOT this session!

    GET TO KNOW YOUR LEGISLATORS!

Do you know who is representing your family? Check out their campaign websites to see where they stand on issues that concern you. For much of the year the Legislators will be in their hometown (unless campaigning) until the beginning of the Legislative session in January. They will have more time to meet with you before the session starts. Then many stay in Boise during our 4-month Legislative session and are very busy at that time.

During the legislative session, HFI will send Action Alerts requesting you contact your representative on proposed legislation. This will often involve a quick phone call or simple email. This shouldn’t be the only time you are in contact with your legislator.

Taking time to develop a relationship with your elected official off-season will allow you to develop an open line of communication based on mutual respect.

    Letters

Personal letters that state your views on how the proposed legislation will affect your profession, family, or community are the individual’s basic communications tools. Timing of such communication is vital.  The Legislative session begins in January for four months.  Click here for more hints on effective written communications.

    E-mails

When speed is desirable because of imminent action on a piece of legislation, emails may be sent to a legislator. Tips to emailing the Idaho Legislator. We include copy-paste lists for ease of use.

    Telephone Calls

Several hints for phone contact with your legislator can be found in the “How To Phone” your legislator document.  In addition, here are a few quick notes to keep in mind. This form of communication is particularly effective when the person making the call worked in the campaign of the legislator or has established a personal relationship with the legislator.  Direct contact with the legislator is not always possible, but messages can be left with aides or secretaries.  It would not be appropriate to use this communication method exclusively.

  • Health Freedom Legislative Voting Record 2017/2018

Health Freedom Idaho tracked several bills over the past two years with a direct impact on parental rights, health freedom and informed consent. Idaho remains number #1 for health freedom. We are thankful that our Legislators were open to listening to our concerns and many voted in favor of liberty. Due to the complexity of this legislation, the decision to vote for or against any bill will require more explanation that can be provided in this simple spreadsheet. We recommend you contact your legislator and ask WHY s/he voted the way they did on these bills. Taking time to communication with your legislator is the best way to preserve your liberty and allow that individual to better represent your family.

Health Freedom Idaho Members Impacted the Following Legislation:

    2017 WINS

(Failed) SB 1182 Re-defining child neglect to include parents who don’t follow conventional medical protocols “Faith-Healing Exemption”

(Passed) HB 195 returns health care options to allow Chiropractors to administer IVs.

(Failed) HB 91 tracking of vaccine status of ADULTS

    2018 WINS

(Passed) H494 require providers inform parents that their child’s vaccination records will be entered into the tri-state database system. Most parents are not aware that the IRIS database exists and that they have the option to have their children’s confidential medical information expunged from the system by contacting the Health and Welfare Department after EACH doctor’s visit or school/daycare enrollment.

(Failed) H577 CBD regulation requires a doctors note in order to purchase any products with CBD containing less than .3% THC.  Since .3% or less THC is naturally occurring in hemp products this could limit ability to purchase for Idaho citizens. These interchangeable terms, “THC free”, “Contains trace amounts of THC”, “non detectable” or “negligible levels” all means that the product contains .3% or less THC. THC is difficult to measure after a product is made as it is measured in dry weight before hand. Read all the related CBD oil research articles by HFI. *HFI stood alone against this legislation and its unintended consequences of reducing liberty. Many legislators voted in favor of this bill with the misinformed understanding that it would expand health freedom.

    2018 Loss

(Passed) H393 The State formed a commission to comply with the ACA’s vaccination requirements it was due to expire. The Immunization Assessment Board  whose express purpose is the promotion of a corporation’s product, and also form an insurance assessment board for forcing insurance companies to purchase large lots of the corporation’s products to target a specific age group of Idaho’s citizens. It was due to expire, but was extended with the passage of this legislation. Vaccinations are available through a federal program, funds spent by this commission are wasted on vaccines purchased, unused and expired. Its an unfortunate waste of tax payer money.

  • Michael Snyder Interview with Natural News About Liberty, Health Freedom and Smaller Government

HFI’s Notes: Michael Snyder has been an advocate locally for health freedom and parental rights throughout Idaho. Michael was first on the scene in Boise, when Sara’s son was denied access to kindergarten after the school refused to accept her parental statement of vaccine exemption per Idaho code. (See the video here). He also took time to alert the public about the newborn removed from parents at the hospital after they refused the HepB vaccine for their son.

Idaho congressional candidate Michael Snyder is founder of The Economic Collapse Blog, among other sites. In a recent interview with Mike Adams of Natural News, he shared his stances on liberty, health freedom and small government. Michael also shared why he is running for Congress: to ensure that current and future generations of Americans can live in freedom and prosperity.

Excerpts from the Natural News interview and from a Health Freedom News article about the interview are below.

Snyder said that one of his biggest influences was then-Rep. Ron Paul, a Texas Republican with very strict limited-government views (an early advocate for ‘draining the swamp’ before it became popularized by President Donald J. Trump).

Once a D.C. lawyer, Snyder moved with his wife, Meranda, to Idaho six years ago, where he began focusing on writing. After rising to the top of the so-called “alternative media,” in which he focused exclusively on the promotion of individual liberty, health freedom and small government, he decided it was time to take his game to the next level — especially after Donald J. Trump shocked the GOP and Washington establishments to beat Hillary Clinton in November 2016.

Though he supported Trump, “I didn’t think he’d win,” Snyder admits. That makes sense, given the force arrayed against him: A $1 billion Clinton war chest, the entire mainstream media, and the fact that — as we now know — there were unseen forces working behind the scenes to undermine his candidacy (and now his presidency).

“[Trump] showed if we work together, if we fight, that literally, anything is possible,” Snyder said. “So I believe we have a window to potentially take our government back.”

On his radar, if he makes it to D.C.: Fights against “the vaccine industry, GMOs, the Federal Reserve — all the things the liberty movement” supports.

To the issue of vaccines and, in particular, the dangers they pose, the Health Ranger noted that during Trump’s candidacy, he spoke out regarding the safety of giving so many vaccines to children so quickly, which he intimated could be linked to the rising epidemic of autism. He even spoke to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. about a commission to investigate “vaccine safety” shortly before being inaugurated.

But, as Adams pointed out, both men — along with every other ‘vaccine safety advocate’ — has been savagely attacked by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, physicians’ groups, the “mainstream” media and Big Pharma for their views, and he says Snyder should be ready for that.

Asked how one lawmaker who would immediately come under siege for his or her views can make a meaningful difference, Snyder said it is possible for anyone to educate the public and raise awareness about vaccine dangers or any issue, given the national platform of Congress.

Besides, Snyder says, he’s trying to be realistic about how he’d be viewed in D.C. should he win.

“I’m very rapidly going to become the most hated member of the House of Representatives by the mainstream media, I understand that in advance,” said Snyder. “It’s going to be [like] going into a war zone,” politically speaking.

He’s right about that. Trump has been under constant assault by the Deep State and the D.C. Swamp creatures featuring the media in a starring role since he had the bad taste to actually beat the most corrupt presidential nominee ever. And he’s the president.

    That reality doesn’t phase Snyder.

“We’re not going to Washington to be part of ‘the club,’ we’re not going to be accepted or make friends with anyone else,” he said. “We’re going there to fight for the things that we believe in.” And, presumably, that would be the things voters want him to fight for.

“In order to ultimately get what we want, we’re going to have to get more like-minded people with us in Washington,” said Snyder.

    No truer words.

But he’ll be in good company: Trump has already broken down the barrier, so now in the breach must charge good men and women of character and honor to fill in the ranks behind him.

    Like Michael Snyder.

  • What is an RS and a Bill.

What is an RS and a Bill.

Here are the steps to make Idaho laws through the House of Representatives (legislation can also originate in the Senate):

    1.       Draft legislation called a “RS” (Routing slip) is introduced into the appropriate House Committee.

    2.      Committee members hear the RS and decide if it gets assigned a bill number to become a bill or not.

    3.      Numbered bills get put on the appropriate committee agenda by the committee chairman.

    4.      A hearing is held on the bill and committee members hear testimony. This is where public input is important! Committee members vote on the bill and determine if it will die or get referred it to the “Floor” for a vote by the entire body.

    5.      Once a bill passes the House Floor it will be sent to the Senate and goes through a similar process.

A citizen’s voice is heard the loudest and has the greatest impact at a committee level.

  • SB1050 Immunization Exemption Form

    SB1050 Immunization Exemption Form

SUPPORT SB 1050 for Immunization Exemption Form COMPLIANCE
    Media Contact:  Sarah @ exemptions@healthfreedomidaho.com

IDAHO STATUTES CLEARLY STATE: VACCINES ARE NOT MANDATED FOR DAYCARE or SCHOOLS. LAWS CLEARLY STATE A PARENT’S WRITTEN STATEMENT IS AN ACCEPTABLE FORM OF IMMUNIZATION EXEMPTION. The Public Health Department refuses to accept a parents’ written affidavit, which leads many to wonder HOW IS THAT LEGAL?

Idaho’s Health & Welfare Department created a mandatory immunization form that falls FAR OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF CURRENT STATUTES and is discriminatory to the minority of parents who legally choose to OPT OUT of the full CDC vaccine schedule. Parents are forced to sign IDHW’s mandatory form that demands parents state that they are putting their children at risk. No parent should be forced to sign a form that is self-incriminatory in order to enroll their child into a daycare program or public school.

The Public Health department is getting away with creating their own rules and children are being denied access to daycare and schools.Regardless of your opinion on the efficacy of vaccines, it is unacceptable to allow the Department of Health to mandate a discriminatory form for school enrollment that violates privacy and is potentially self-incriminating.

LAW STATES Idaho Code 39-4802: Any minor child whose parent or guardian has submitted a signed statement to school officials stating their objections on religious or other grounds shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter.  Medical exemptions are also allowed.

Our Current Immunization Exemption Laws Clearly States:

    • Idaho Statutes permit you, as an individual or parent the right to choose whether or not to vaccinate your child.
    • The statute does not require you to disclose what other grounds your refusal to immunization is. As with any medical decision, the decision to vaccinate is a right of the individual or parent.
    • The State of Idaho, your doctor and public health employees cannot force you or your child to be vaccinated.
    • Your child cannot be excluded from a school or public program because you have exercised your right to not vaccinate.

Just line out and initial it? NOPE!

Health Freedom Idaho Surveys show that most schools have denied children access to school when parents have submitted the legally acceptable parental statement of vaccine exemption. There are many schools refusing to accept the form if it has been altered in any way.

This discriminatory action on the part of schools (who feel their hands are tied due to Health and Welfare Administrative policy) has caught the attention of Health Freedom Idaho.  While correspondence from the Office of the Attorney General and Legislators have shown that there is in fact a discrepancy in the legal statutes and the scope of the form required by IDHW there has been no challenge to change the current administrative procedures to fall back in line with the law.
      SEE:  Letter 1.    Letter 2.

The Law Clearly States Exemptions are Permitted and the legally acceptable process a parent can follow.
The Administrative Policies of the Health and Welfare Department clearly fall OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF LAW.

IDHW’s MANDATORY IMMUNIZATION FORM IS DISCRIMINATORY.

Health Freedom Idaho presented proposed clarifying legislation on February 6 to the Senate Health and Welfare Committee. They confirmed that indeed the Idaho Health and Welfare Department’s form falls outside the scope of the law. A new bill Senate Bill #1050 was created and will now work its way through the legislative process.

Health Freedom Idaho’s summary of the bill’s purpose:

This clarifies that a parent has the right to enroll their child(ren) in Idaho schools, while maintaining their privacy, their right to medical confidentiality, and the right to opt out of providing IRIS-type vaccination information. Parents’ rights, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to shield oneself from unjust incrimination are paramount to Idahoans and of utmost importance in maintaining liberty. This bill will secure those natural rights.

    • CONTACT THE HEALTH AND WELFARE COMMITTEES Today tell them YES on SB1050 the Health Department should be required to comply with the existing statues allowing parents to opt out of vaccines using a signed statement.

There is A LOT going on behind the scenes to shut down the bill SB 1050.
(SB 1050 is the HFI sponsored bill that would keep the Health Departments administrative policy in line with the current statute.)

The Health Department is making every attempt to not only shut down our efforts to keep them ‘in line’ with existing statutes. Tell our elected officials they MUST SUPPORT SB 1050.

    Additional Resources:

The purpose of this bill is to clarify Section 39-4802 (2)Idaho Code.

The current language is as follows:

    (2) Any minor child whose parent or guardian has submitted signed statement to school officials stating their objections on religious or other grounds shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter.

    Original Intent

The original intent of this section was that an Idaho parent/ guardian may exercise their right to privacy and medical confidentiality by simply submitting a signed statement to school officials in

order to invoke their right to exemption regarding the state-prescribed vaccination schedule for school enrollment.

    Rules Created Mandating Unjust Form

Rules have since been created requiring a state health department form be mandated. The form that was created for this purpose contains unnecessary, possibly incriminating language that is far outside the scope of this section.

Section 39-4804 Idaho Code is being disregarded in the forced use of the current mandatory exemption form. That section states in part:

    NOTIFICATION TO PARENT OR GUARDIAN.

    (b) Participation in the immunization registry is voluntary;Because the Idaho IRIS vaccine registry is voluntary, a parent is not required to disclose vaccination status to the state.

Form Forces Parents to Give Up Rights or Child’s Education

By mandating the current exemption form, which lists individual vaccines and demands confidential medical information, parents are not able to exercise their right to privacy and exemption without facing enrollment denial by schools. Clearly this form does not align with the intentions of the current statutes.

This Bill Will Re-secure Idahoan’s Rights to Privacy, Confidentiality,& Avoidance of Unjust Incrimination

This bill would modify for clarification Section 39-4802 (2)to read:

    (2) Any minor child whose parent or guardian has submitted a signed statement to school officials stating their objections on religious or other grounds shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter. The signed statement may appear in a letter from the parent or guardian and is not required to be made on a form furnished by the state board of health and welfare, a school, or another entity.

The North Carolina-based think tank says it has an institutional commitment to “individual liberty and limited, constitutional government,” weighed four different variables to compile the rankings.

To see their full results on all four variables visit http://ijr.com/2015/02/254129-state-rank-first-freedom-index/

Here is a graphic representation for the rankings for health care freedom:

#1 is Idaho and #50 is Vermont.

George Mason University’s Mercatus Center also released a “Freedom in the 50 States” map, that includes more than 200 economic and personal variables in their calculations.

The results from George Mason University on the ‘least free’ state agree with the John Locke Foundation, placing New York at the bottom. But the two lists differ on the ‘most free’ state, with Mercatus Center putting North Dakota first.

Health Freedom Idaho is dedicated to KEEPING IDAHO #1 in Health Freedom. We have seen the tide of vaccine mandates and liberty stealing legislation in the states that surround us and are well aware that Idaho’s freedom can easily slip away in one legislative session.

Facebook has announced that SNOPES will decide for them which sites are ‘fake’.  So, now, real news will go away just like it did on the networks.  #TruthAlwaysFindsAWay #TruthWins – Miste Karlfeldt, Director of Health Freedom Idaho’s Facebook status.

Facebook has announced it will introduce warning labels on stories they deem to be “fake news,” with the help of partisan “fact checking” organisations such as Snopes and PolitiFact.
Stories deemed to be false will now be “flagged” by Facebook, with an accompanying red label claiming the story is “disputed by 3rd Party Fact-Checkers.”

Who will check Facebook stories?  Organizations run by a college journalism department or a worldwide research team? Nope.

Snopes a website/blog run by a husband and wife team in Southern California. David and Barbara Mikkeslon, started the site in 1995 as a part time project, which later turned into a full time effort.

And other organizations such as Politifact, and FactCheck.org, all of which have records of left-wing partisanship — particularly throughout the 2016 election.

For example, PolitiFact infamously said it was “mostly false” when Donald Trump claimed in a presidential debate that Hillary Clinton wanted “open borders.” PolitiFact made this ruling despite Clinton being on the record at a paid speech saying “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders.”

Trump also said that Russia has 1,800 nuclear warheads and has expanded its arsenal while the U.S. has not. PolitiFact admitted that Trump’s claim was factual, but it rated the statement as “half true” for supposedly “missing the big picture.”

In both of these cases, PolitiFact went beyond mere fact-checking and moved the goal posts in ways that benefited Clinton’s candidacy. This type of ideological “fact checking” went beyond parody during October’s presidential debates, with NBC taking Trump’s statement that Clinton “acid washed” her emails (a reference to the data deletion tool “BleachBit”) 100% literally and declaring the statement “false.”

    FACT CHECK IT YOURSELF!

FAKE NEWS ‘propaganda’ campaign doesn’t end with facebook. The House recently passed a bill regarding propaganda.
