  • 334% SPIKE in Teen Self Harm Due to COVID 19 Restrictions

334% SPIKE in intentional self-harm for a virus that has a 99% survival rate. We are DESTROYING our youth’s mental health. The stats for Idaho are shocking and many may not even realize how much of a problem it is in our state!

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Idaho is ranked as one of the states with one of the highest mortality rates due to suicide. This is incredibly sad. Idaho is ranked 46th according to the most recent data and is the 7th leading causes of death in the entire state.

NO CHILDREN DIED from COVID in Emmett but there are reports that FOUR CHILDREN took their lives during the Emergency Lockdown.

Mental health offices are reporting an increase in the need for services for teens and are having to turn away families daily as there are not enough counselors to meet the need.

As early as last spring, psychologists were warning that even as children and teens were spared most of the physical impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the shuttering of schools, the lack of contact with friends and the loss of milestones like birthday parties, graduations and more would exact a heavy emotional and developmental price. Now, a year on, the numbers are in—and they’re in some ways worse than the experts feared.

In a new study by the nonprofit FAIR Health, investigators combed through a database of 32 billion U.S. health insurance claims—focusing on the two billion or so from 2019 to 2020—to calculate the numbers filed for health services in the pediatric age group, which they defined as ages 0 to 22. The researchers focused particularly on the emotionally turbulent years from 13 to 18, and to a somewhat lesser extent on claims filed by those ages 19 to 22.

In both groups, they found sharp spikes from pre-pandemic 2019 to 2020 in a range of psychological conditions including major depression, generalized anxiety disorder, adjustment disorder, self-harm, substance abuse, overdoses, OCD, ADHD, and tic disorders.

The harm we are causing our children living in this constant state of FEARMONGERING. The statistics don’t line up with the “necessity” of this emergency order. We need to give our children hope for a bright future.

  • Homeschool Teen Medically Kidnapped in Idaho

Idaho resident Kristine, a homeschooling mother, brought her very sick child Brandon to the ER numerous times, and they keep sending him home. Tired of repeated trips to the ER and extremely worried about her son, Kristine says she urgently insisted that they provide other treatment for him. She knew something else was going on other than just the flu. Little did she know that urging for her son to be treated for more than the flu would involve CPS, accusations of medical neglect, educational neglect, and criminal charges against her. Its been six months, only limited weekly visits this single mom and her son want to be reunited.

    UPDATE July 16 Hearing

Brandon still doesn’t get to go home. In fact, the court case has been continued until OCTOBER 2019. Mom was grateful that

Brandon, aged 15, was admitted to St. Alphonsus in Nampa and then transferred to St. Alphonsus Pediatric Center in nearby Boise, Idaho. Medical records show that he was admitted with Influenza A, a positive result for Mono, abdominal pain, recent weight loss, as well as thrombocytopenia (low blood platelet count), and leukopenia (low white blood cell count).

Over the next two days, Kristine watched her son suffer. It was often necessary for her to help him out of bed and walk to the bathroom. Brandon was given a walker so that he could navigate the hallways and receive some exercise.

Brandon was then transferred to St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Boise. Mom was told that it was because there was nothing else St. Al’s could do for him, and he needed testing for cystic fibrosis, a respiratory disorder that can result in extreme malnutrition due to digestion issues.

However, according to medical records of Dr. Amy Barton, a child abuse specialist that works for St. Luke’s through their Children At Risk Evaluation Services (CARES), the actual purpose for the transfer was to put Brandon into her care of Dr. Barton to determine whether or not his condition was medical abuse vs. medical neglect.

Educational Neglect Alleged Due to Homeschooling

Another allegation that CPS suddenly decided to throw at Kristine is that Brandon has been homeschooled for his entire life. The Department now alleges that Brandon’s education was neglected, because he was homeschooled, and has requested an educational evaluation, despite that he has a history of being in the gifted and talented programs through his online homeschool in Oregon.

The Department is also requesting that Brandon begin high school again as a freshman at Homedale High School this September, despite that he has graduated through homeschool with the appropriate amount of credits at the end of this last school year.

Mom is fighting for her son and NEEDS YOUR HELP

Kristine has filed for a new evidentiary hearing and a new adjudication, asserting that misinformation and hearsay is perverting the court record. Kristine hopes that maybe her voice will finally be heard by Judge Tucker this time around. If not by the judge, then at least by someone with the power to do something about what is happening with her son.

Kristine appears in court next on July 16th, for the 6-month review hearing, and to hear the motions she has recently filed. She expects that this will be a battle, but isn’t afraid. She says,

“I will not quit fighting until my son is home again, where he belongs.”

His own words! This boy wants to go home!

Listening to the full interview between CARES and Brandon, it is very obvious that key information was left out of Dr. Barton’s report, perhaps intentionally.

In the almost hour-long interrogation with Michelle Borgquist, Brandon states several times that nothing is wrong at home, his mother takes care of him, they do things outside of the house, and that he has plenty of access to food.

The interview begins with Michelle telling Brandon that they are in her “Talking Room” so that she can ask him questions and he can feel safe answering them. She makes him promise that he will tell the truth. Brandon agrees and then proceeds to answer her questions.

When asked about things that he enjoys doing, Brandon answers include badminton, bowling, golf, chess, video games, board games, as well as several other outside activities.

At approximately 8m:45s into the interview, Brandon is asked if he can think of anything that has happened recently that made him sad or unhappy. Brandon answers, “Not being able to be with my family.”

  • Idaho CPS Traumatizing Innocent Families

March 2022 -The recent tragic incident involving Meridian Idaho Police ripping a breast-fed infant from his mother’s arms and arresting her for her protective instincts has thousands of people in shock! The doctor treating this child with special medical needs said “the infant should be returned to the family”. Yet, the state decided to keep the infant in state custody. Parents everywhere are rising up to seek an end to the often unlawful, traumatizing, and damaging effects that Idaho Child Welfare / CPS has on parents and their innocent children.

That’s a lot of children placed in a system that is proven to be less safe than in their own homes.

     – Miste Karlfeldt, Executive Director Health Freedom Idaho

    • How many of these children were traumatized worse from being removed from their situation than they would have been if they could stay with their parent(s)?
    • What is the bounty CPS gets paid for every child they kidnap?
    • How many children are helped and don’t end up with addiction issues, depression, suicidal thoughts, or committing suicide, or are in and out of jail/juvenile detention centers?
    • How many children kidnapped by CPS end up on mood and behavior-altering drugs, destroying their bodies’ chemical makeup forever?
    • How many of these children were traumatized worse from being removed from their situation than they would have been if they were able to stay with their parent(s)?
    • What is the bounty CPS gets paid for every child they kidnap?
    • How many children are actually helped, and don’t end up with addiction issues, depression, suicidal thoughts or committing suicide, and/or are in and out of jail/juvenile detention centers?
    • How many children kidnapped by CPS end up on mood and behavior altering drugs, destroying the chemical make up of their body forever?

In 2019, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare conducted 10,159 investigations based on referrals for child abuse, neglect or abandonment out of 23,599 referrals made to the department. In Idaho, it is mandatory that every person report suspected child abuse or neglect, which creates a huge number of referrals.

CPS social workers or law enforcement attempted comprehensive safety assessments at 4% of the Idaho households with children under the age of 18.

In every one of those cases, CPS told the parents that they must submit to questioning, entry to their home and that they must submit their children to the questioning and examination of the children by government workers outside of the presence of the parents.

Idaho CPS social workers say that “nobody ever questions” these intrusions into the family home and the privacy of the relationship between parents and children.

But, because of the Constitution of the United States, it is simply not the law that parents must obey every demand of CPS

Just because the Department rules require CPS workers to attempt to infiltrate your home and family life does not mean you have to allow the invasion.

The fact is that abuse and neglect under Idaho’s Child Protective Act are over-reported and exaggerated. Many of the calls are anonymous, and after investigation, fully 83% of the investigations (8,432 in 2018) are found “unsubstantiated, meaning there was no abuse or neglect.

In their attempt to investigate, CPS social workers working for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare frequently use coercive tactics, like showing up with law enforcement officers and telling parents they must cooperate, or they could lose custody of their own children. The Department frequently shows up at odd times, like on a Friday evening or even on holidays.

That is because their rules require that they investigate priority 1 and 2 referrals either immediately or within 24 hours. And CPS social workers will never confine themselves to just investigating the nature of the original referral. Their “comprehensive safety assessment” means they will stray far and wide from the referral to investigate and explore everything about you and your family relationships, including your parenting philosophies and how often and what types of foods everyone eats.

If parents know their rights and begin to exercise their rights, they will be empowered against an over-reaching department, and even if the Department continues to attempt its intrusions, at least individual parents will be empowered to operate on a more level playing field.

The goal is to equip you to handle Idaho CPS and law enforcement in these CPS investigations.

UPDATE FROM COURT HEARING July 16 Canyon County Courthouse Caldwell, Idaho

    An amazing turnout to #BringBrandonHome!
At one point I counted at least 50 people in the lobby.

One supporter said, “I was extremely fortunate I was able to meet and speak with Brandon, a very intelligent young man who was extremely shocked all those people were there for him.”

Thank you so much to everyone who turned out in support! We’ve definitely made a statement to this court and their reaction was perfectly predictable. Kicking people out, confiscating cellphones, threatening contempt of court over publicity, and closing their doors to the public are all red flags of CORRUPTION.

  • Newborn kidnapped by CPS after mother refused vaccination

NOTE: We have a crowdfunding campaign setup to assist the family with legal costs relating to this matter. Please visit this page for more information on this situation and ways to help.

Friends, we have an incredibly important battle on our hands. Something unconscionable has happened in North Idaho this last week. We were notified by the daughter of a local pastor here in Kootenai County regarding a woman of his congregation, Diamond Mehlhoff, who gave birth in Kootenai County @ KMC on Monday November 20th via c-section. On Wednesday November 22nd, after the parents refused vaccination for the baby, the state became involved and took this beautiful baby, Elijah, from his loving parents, claiming the mother to be unfit due to a diagnosis of cerebral palsy (a non progressive movement disorder).

Diamond is an active individual who doesn’t let cerebral palsy slow her down.

They have stated the mother to be bedbound, which is not at all accurate. She also lives with her husband Ari and the grandfather of the baby.

This is an unbelievable, unheard of, egregious case of disability discrimination.

Their court hearing is tomorrow, Monday 27th at 8am @ 205 N 4th Street Coeur D Alene ID 83814 in the Juvenile Justice Center. They are asking anyone available to please come support them.

For those concerned that perhaps this family is ‘unfit’  Health Freedom Idaho has been researching this story since the day that it happened. We feel confident that this family’s parental rights have been violated under the guise of the mother’s illness. This kind of blatant disregard of parental rights is happening all over the country.

It is very important to note that the state did not take any action until the parents expressed a desire not to vaccinate the child. We have much to do to raise awareness and shine a light on this blatant attack on parental rights and the rights of parents with disabilities.

  • Top 10 Toxic Chemicals Used in Makeup

Many beauty and skin care products on the market are full of hidden chemicals, and makeup products may be the worst. If you want to be healthy and still use foundation and eyeliner, you may be wondering: Is it possible to wear makeup without harming your body with toxic chemicals?

Yes, just like you can swap out harsh cleaning products and get rid of toxic food, you can change out your makeup.

Swapping your regular makeup products for natural versions can seem like the scariest step in the transition. You found mascara that takes your eyelashes to new heights, a lipstick that makes your pout pop, and a foundation that makes your skin look like it traveled back in time. Why would you give those things up?

Under current law, the FDA doesn’t require cosmetics companies to conduct safety assessments on their products. Harmful ingredients can be easily masked under confusing or deceptive titles like “fragrance.” They may even be listed, plain and simple, on the label, but with no messages to inform consumers of their potentially harmful effects.

If makeup is a part of your daily routine, it’s vital to think about what you’re putting on your skin. Your pores absorb what you put on them—they don’t know any better! That lipstick on your teeth? You ate that.

So let’s talk about some toxic chemicals in the makeup and how to get healthy with our beauty routines!

    1. Phthalates

Phthalates are a group of chemicals that may be disruptive to the endocrine system, which is responsible for hormone production. Such interference can lead to developmental, reproductive, and neurological damage.

The effects of phthalates may be related to their ability to mimic human hormones. A study by the University of Maryland reported that exposure to phthalates could cause reproductive abnormalities and decreased production of testosterone in males, as well as decreased male fertility. Other studies show a link between phthalates and premature delivery and endometriosis in women.

Where would you find phthalates? They’re used to plasticize products, making them more flexible or better able to hold in color and scent. From deodorantto nail polish to scented lip balm, the catch here is that these chemicals can be grouped under and listed as “fragrance.” Companies claim their fragrance formulas as “trade secret,” and thus don’t have to specify on the label which ingredients are included.

Your best bet is to avoid products that list “fragrance” and choose ones that use plant oils and essences to give them the “yum” factor.

    2. Lead

We know that lead is bad for us. We stopped putting it in our paint, right? So why is it showing up in our foundation, lipsticks, and even whitening toothpaste?

Lead is a proven neurotoxin linked to miscarriage, reduced fertility, and delays in the onset of puberty for females. About seven years ago, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics found lead in over half of the 33 brands of lipstick they tested. A more recent study by the FDA tested popular brands and found 400 that contained up to 7.19ppm of lead.

It is inevitable that some lipstick ends up making it past the target area and into your belly. For those who wear it regularly, this could harm your health in the long run.

How does lead make it into cosmetics? It isn’t added as an ingredient, but rather makes its way in through contamination. Color additives are some of the most common sources.

The best way to avoid lead is to buy makeup from companies that make products in small batches and avoid contamination, or to buy products colored with fruit and other natural pigments.

    3. Quaternium-15 and Other Formaldehyde-Releasing Preservatives

You may already know that treated wood, such as particleboard, can release formaldehyde, but did you know to watch out for it in your makeup?

When some chemicals break down, they release harmful formaldehyde gas, classified as a known human carcinogen by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Researchers and the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

The main risk is through inhalation. The European Union (E.U.) mandates that formaldehyde-releasing preservatives in cosmetics be labeled as such if they exceed .05%. For those outside the E.U., we have to get savvy with our ingredient vetting.

    Look for:

    • DMDM hydantoin
    • BHUT (butylated hydroxytoluene)
    • bronopol
    • diazolidinyl urea
    • sodium hydrozymethylglycinate
    • imidazolidinyl urea
    • methenamine
    • quarternium-15, Quaternium-18, Quaternium-26

Quaternium-15 is one of the more common ones, used in mascara, pressed powders, and eyeliners. In addition to potentially causing cancer, this ingredient can cause skin sensitivities and irritation. It belongs to a class of compounds called quaternary ammonium compounds, or “quats.”

Quats have many uses—as preservatives, surfactants, germicides and conditioning agents. Choose products that use natural alternatives that perform similar functions such as rosemary, honey, tea tree oil, grapefruit seed extract, and vitamin E.

    4. PEG Compounds

Polyethylene glycols, or PEGs, are petroleum-based compounds that are used to thicken, soften, and gelatinize cosmetics, making them a common ingredient in cream-based products. The main issue with PEGs is that they are often contaminated with ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane.

Ethylene oxide is a known human carcinogen, potentially harmful to the nervous system and human development. 1,4-dioxane is a possible human carcinogen that can remain in the environment for long periods of time without degrading.

PEG compounds also enhance the penetration of other ingredients into your skin, which is great if these other ingredients are healthy, but not so much if they are harmful. The number next to PEG indicates how many units of ethylene glycol they comprise, such as PEG-4 or PEG-150. The lower the number, the more easily the product absorbs into your skin.

    5. Butylated Compounds (BHT, BHA)

This is another unhealthy ingredient that’s thrown into our products so we can keep them on our shelves for a longer period of time. BHA and BHT are used as preservatives in dozens of products.

    In food:

    • chips
    • baked goods
    • butter
    • meats, sausage, poultry
    • chewing gum
    • vegetable oils
    • beer

In your makeup and skin care products:

    • eyeliners, eye shadows
    • lipsticks, lip glosses,
    • blushes, foundations
    • perfumes
    • moisturizers
    • skin cleansers
    • diaper creams

These chemicals are endocrine disruptors, may induce skin allergies, and are linked to organ, developmental, and reproductive toxicity.

The E.U. prohibits the use of BHA as a fragrance and the European Commission on Endocrine Disruption lists it as a Category 1 priority substance due to evidence that it interferes with hormonal function. No thank you!

There’s evidence that suggests that BHT mimics estrogen, which can throw off hormonal function in both men and women. In some situations, this additive can promote the growth of tumors.

Both BHT and BHA bioaccumulate. Given the wide variety of food and cosmetic products they are used in, accumulation over time could lead to serious health consequences. Avoid these ingredients, and turn to products with natural preservatives instead, like aspen bark extract and vitamin E.

    6. Parabens

They’re practically famous. If you’ve heard of one class of ingredients you should avoid in your makeup, it’s parabens. They’re the most widely used preservatives in cosmetics, and they have no troubles penetrating your skin.

The European Commission on Endocrine Disruption lists parabens as Category 1 priority substances because of evidence they interfere with hormone function. I only let one thing toy with my hormones, and that’s the moon!

Parabens can mimic estrogen, and have been detected in human breast cancer tissue. They also interfere with reproduction, the nervous system, and the immune system—all things we would like to keep in well-working order.

Because parabens have gained such a bad rep, some companies now use phenoxyethanol, but phenoxyethanol is not the good witch of the north! It has many of the same harmful effects. Japan recently banned phenoxyethanol in cosmetics, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration put out a consumer alert warning that it can “depress the central nervous system and may cause vomiting and diarrhea” in infants. Avoid both parabens and phenoxyethanol in your skin care!

We’ve already talked your ear off, so we’ll keep these last ones short. Put these ingredients on your radar:

    7. Octinoxate: Found in foundations, this is an unstable chemical linked with endocrine disruption and thyroid disorders.

    8. p-Phenylenediamine: A type of coal tar dye sometimes listed as CL followed by a five-digit number. It’s a respiratory toxicant and can be contaminated with heavy metals.

    9. Carbon black: An ingredient found in eyeliners, it’s linked to cancer and organ toxicity. Look for its other names: channel black, pigment black 6, pigment black 7, acetylene black, froflow, arogen, arotone, arovel, arrow, atlantic, and black pearls.

    10. Siloxanes: Used in cosmetics to soften, smooth, and moisten, they disrupt the endocrine system and are toxic to the reproductive system. Look for ingredients that end in -siloxane or -methicone and avoid these products!

We’re not here to scare you! We don’t want you to have nightmares that your future offspring will be jeopardized all because you wanted to sport a red lip, or that your loved one will get sick because you bought her an eye shadow palette for her birthday. But we have options when it comes to what we put on our faces and bodies. If the makeup industry isn’t going to make transparency a priority, we have to take it upon ourselves to do our research so we can make healthy choices.

  • When the CDC calls

HFI executive director’s son received a ‘random’ call from the CDC regarding his vaccine status. When the caller realized that she was speaking with a child, instead of hanging up, she tried to solicit more information from him, asking if he was in a safe environment to disclose his vaccine status. He immediately hung up and told his mom.

What have you instructed your child to do if they receive a phone call that starts with…

Hello, my name is __________. I’m calling on behalf of the  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We’re conducting a survey with cell phone users regarding childhood immunizations. Your cell phone number has been selected at random. This call will be recorded or monitored.

CDC does National Surveys and their information page was updated July 11, 2017.

According to their information page, this survey is suppose to be conducted with a parent or guardian..however the teen survey script does not appear to specifically ask if the person who answers the phone is 18 or older or a parent/guardian..A household telephone survey[86 pages].
