    Vaccines, Vaccine Injury, & My Perspective as a Doctor & Mom

    I’ve ordered thousands of vaccines in my career as a physician.   Until recently I had never considered vaccine injury as more than folklore.  Weeks ago I never would’ve believed a story about vaccine injured triplets….so the past few weeks have been difficult.  I have struggled to make sense of all that I have seen and learned.  I met a mother of triplets the other weekend, a very attractive white woman with years added onto her face and her smile.  She recalled to me the day her triplets were born.  She and her then husband were ecstatic that she was able to carry them for 36 weeks.

    At the time, mom was so happy that they were inside of her long enough to mature, they were born perfectly healthy.  I can totally relate since I am now twelve weeks postpartum. I had very similar worries carrying my little princess.  

    Mom’s eyes dropped though as I gave her a hearty smile of excitement.  The same day that her triplets were given their six-month check-up and vaccines, was the same day that all three of her kids checked out.  She said it was as if someone replaced her children with new ones.  They unlearned all they knew…regressed and screamed for days.  

    I stood there motionless and speechless.  She didn’t want my pity, nor my tears, she just wanted me to know.

    I’m a new mom, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a friend, and a family medicine physician. I’m from a small town called Gary, Indiana.  As a matter of fact, I practice medicine about two blocks away from the house that I along-with my eight brothers and sisters grew up in.  My dad bought the house in the 60s, after he met my mom.  They both migrated to the Midwest to escape the blatant racial tension of the deep south, and the rest is history.

    We all took an oath to first and foremost “Do No Harm.”  It’s been difficult. Throughout my tenure as a physician, I have watched while our academy has pushed certain medication that we find years later has been causing more harm than good…that hurts.

    I have witnessed the vaccine schedule grow from 16 doses of 4 vaccines from birth to six years old when I was a child, to the current recommendation of 49 doses of 14 vaccines between birth and age six, and 69 doses of 16 vaccines between birth and the age of eighteen….and we’ve been giving them on-time, sometimes five shots a day to help kids ‘catch-up’, and all without question.  Medical school and residency taught us all to do so.

    I guess I cant help but wonder if there’s a connection between the fact that when we had to give fewer vaccines we had fewer childhood diseases.  It is only human to wonder.  We had fewer learning disabilities, less asthma, less autism, and less diabetes.  Autism in particular was 1 in 500 in the late seventies and it has now skyrocketed to 1 in 50.  Why so many?  Why so soon?

    I am so sorry that I didn’t know that the government has paid out $3 billion to families injured by vaccines through the VICP (Vaccine Injury Compensation Program).  As a matter of fact, I assumed that all vaccines were very very safe.  They have to be because we give them to everyone’s kids, right?!??

    I am so sorry that I didn’t realize that there are tens of thousands of families on a list that have never received compensation because they couldn’t 100% prove that the vaccine created an injury (even though many of them can pinpoint the day and time that their babies’ lights dimmed).

    And until recently, I had never heard of a CDC scientist/whistleblower named Dr. William Thompson.  Dr Thompson was brave enough to come forward because his conscience was killing him.  I feel like such an ignorant ASS to say the least.

    Dr. Thompson revealed that a study conducted at the CDC showed a 236% increase in the rate of autism in African-American boys who received the MMR vaccine before the age of 36 months.  He states that an internal decision was made to change the study results to demonstrate that there was no increased risk…and he feels really bad about all the lives he ruined.

    The documentary Vaxxed plays a percentage of the four hours of voice recordings between the whistleblower/Dr. Thompson and another scientist.  
    All of this would be impossible to believe without those recorded phone conversations.

    Of course I am Black mom, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.  As a Black physician, with a mostly Black patient base, I am very very concerned and very sorry. But I am also concerned as a person that loves all people and children regardless of race.  What does this information about one vaccine on one group of children infer about all vaccines and all groups of children?

    As a mom of a new tiny precious being and a doctor of many, I am left with so many questions:  Should vaccines be delayed?  Are any vaccines safe?  If so, which ones?  Are there more vaccine-injured victims that we even know about?  Should genetic testing be conducted on all children before we assume that they can tolerate all of those vaccines?

    And my most important question: Why won’t Congress subpoena Dr. Thompson so that we can really really know the truth about this particular vaccine.

    I have to thank Del Bigtree for taking the time to show me the data that I was inadvertently pretending not to see, and I really have to thank Dr. Thompson.  Without this information, we would never have known, and it all would’ve just been written off as mishmash of conspiracy theories.

    With what I now know, I cannot support mandatory vaccines for children.  Some kids respond well to vaccines, but others do not.  How can we be sure who will and who will not?  Should we really sacrifice one for many?  Parents have to have the right to choose!  Parents have to make their own informed decisions.   Parents deserve access to this information which has been buried so deep that even I, a practicing physician, hadn’t been aware of.

    I apologize from the bottom of my heart to any children and parents that I have unknowingly harmed.  I had no idea.

Form your own opinions, do your own research, and then talk to your physician.   Demand to hear from Dr. Thompson, pass this information along to your loved ones, and start these conversations. We all deserve answers, and this is the only way to get any.

    People keep asking me if I’m scared to speak about this.  My realest fear is that we will continue to assume that these moms are making this stuff up.

    Dear Moms,
    Six years ago I was taking this picture of my sweet Mason.
    This was three weeks before he died.
    Look at his chubby red cheeks. Look at the light in his eyes. Look at the smile on his face. He was healthy. He was normal.
    Healthy, normal babies do not randomly die in their sleep for no reason. “SIDS” is not a diagnosis. It’s what medical examiners and coroners say when the autopsy comes back normal and there are no signs of suffocation, asphyxiation or any other cause of death.
    “SIDS” is the term used by medical professionals to cover up VIDS OR Vaccine Induced Death Syndrome.

    IDAHO PARENTS who choose to opt-out of the chicken pox vaccine have done so after careful risk versus benefit analysis. 
    VACCINE EXEMPTIONS PROTECT INFORMED CONSENT.

    1. The chicken pox is a benign, self limiting childhood illness. 99.9% of children suffer NO complications and gain life-time immunity. Not a single Idaho child has died from the disease (or complications) in more than a decade.
    2. CDC reports that the Chicken Pox vaccine is NOT effective long term adding a second dose due to waning immunization rates.
    3. Chicken Pox vaccines can cause serious injury or even death. 1 out of every 1,481 children administered the VACCINE suffered adverse reaction.
    4. Complications from the chicken pox disease are EXTREMELY RARE. 12 individuals per Million will have complications. Its a vaccine for convenience rather than for a deadly childhood disease.  Designed to keep parents at work and children in school but Medical Reports now show its not cost effective.

    1. Benign Childhood Illness experienced by the entire population as children PRIOR to 1995.

    CDC reports there were  3,700,000 cases of chicken pox cases EACH YEAR prior to the vaccine and 
    that there were 100 U.S. deaths each year (50 children and 50 adults)* the majority of those deaths had compromised immune systems or other health problems

    For 99.9 percent of healthy children, chickenpox is a mild disease without complications. However, up to 20 percent of adults who get chickenpox develop severe complications such as pneumonia, secondary bacterial infections, and brain inflammation (which is reported in less than one percent of children who get chickenpox). Most children and adults who develop these serious complications have compromised immune systems or other health problems.

    We give our children the chicken pox vaccine. This vaccine required by many schools and daycares carries a limited protection from the illness and is not guaranteed effective. The vaccine itself contains a LIVE VIRUS which is KNOWN to spread chickenpox to others.
    How Effective is the chicken pox vaccine?

    • Chickenpox vaccine effectiveness is reported to be 44 percent for any form of the disease and 86 percent for moderate to severe disease;

    Consider this. 

    A close friend, has seven children at home. The teen was required to be ‘updated’ on his vaccines in Junior High because the CDC is now acknowledging that the vaccine ‘wears out’ over time. So, in order to continuing attending school activities, he received the chicken pox vaccine. Within days, his elder sibling came down with the illness. Unfortunately, she wasn’t aware that she was sick until she was away from home on her Senior Trip to Disneyland. The vaccine cause her to expose her entire class and those around her at Disneyland to the illness.  Arriving back home, contagious, she then spread the illness to younger siblings, many had already been vaccinated with chicken pox vaccine in the past several years.

    This one family’s story prove that:

    1. The chicken pox vaccine sheds and others do catch the chicken pox disease.
    2. The chicken pox vaccine is not always effective.

    3. Danger of complications from the chicken pox illness increased with age.

    Most concerning is that Chickenpox is much more serious when caught by previously unexposed adults, when it can lead to pneumonia.

    Mass use of chickenpox vaccine by children in the U.S. has removed natural boosting of immunity in the population, which was protective against shingles, and now adults are experiencing a shingles epidemic.

    From the story above its obvious, the vaccinated individual could spread the disease to the immuno-compromised, who can develop septicaemia or meningitis. 

    4. The vaccine is one of convenience, not about saving lives.

    Is chicken pox really dangerous? The estimated death rate for chicken pox is only 1.4 per 100,000 cases (0.0014%) in normal children. It rises to 30.9 deaths per I00,000c ases (0.0309%) in adults.
    As you can see,the death rate is still quite small. Although, it is FAR better to contract chicken pox as a child, than to wait until the adult years.

    Its worth noting chickenpox illness is more of a concern of economics than of deadly outbreak. Children are banned from childcare during the long course of the contagious window of chickenpox, a parent has to take up to a week or more off work to look after their afflicted kids at home.  The CDC and local health departments use the ‘time from work’ reason to have children vaccinated.

    5. Is the Chicken Pox Vaccine itself dangerous? YES.
    Some children will have life long injury from the vaccine itself.

    Chickenpox vaccine is already associated with adverse effects in one in 1,481 vaccinations.1

    Using the MedAlerts search engine, as of September 30, 2015 there had been 3,358 serious adverse events reported to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) in connection with chickenpox and varicella-containing vaccines since 1990. Over half of those serious chickenpox vaccine-related adverse events occurring in children six years old and under. Of these chickenpox-vaccine related adverse event reports to VAERS, 161 were deaths, with over 60% of the deaths occurring in children under six years of age.

Idaho statue permits a parent’s choice, however, the Idaho Health and Welfare department chooses to attempt to harass and intimidate parents with their Immunization Exemption Form that falls FAR OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF THE LAW.

    Current “preservative” level mercury in multi-dose flu (94% of supply), meningococcal and tetanus (7 and older) vaccines.
    By injecting mercury instead of ingesting it, you are essentially by-passing your inner filtration systems.  All of the mercury in a vaccine enters the blood stream, which leads straight to the brain.  Remember that toxic amounts of mercury is considered anything over 200 ppb, and the amount of mercury in a “thimerosal-free” flu vaccine is 300 to 600 ppb – the vaccine most commonly used contains 50,000 ppb.  When you ingest mercury, the amount that reaches your blood stream is much less than the actual amount you consumed.  When you vaccinate, the entire amount of mercury reaches your blood stream.

    VAERS reporting reflects FLU VACCINE caused the most damage

    As of April 2016, 126,884 adverse reactions/events were reported for the flu shot to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System and it has the been the most compensated for vaccine injury. Vaccine manufacturer’s and providers administering vaccinations are exempt from lawsuit in the case of injury or death. Possible reactions include: Paralysis, severe allergic reaction,vomiting, chronic exhaustion, facial palsy, blood and lymphatic system disorders,convulsions and more.

    DOJ Quarterly Vaccine Injury Compensation Information Department of Justice numbers reported regarding quarterly vaccine injury information reveals that the flu shot remains the most dangerous vaccine based on injuries and death compensated by the U.S. Government.

    The estimated 1,000 claims that the VICP anticipates being filed in 2016 are projected to cost $224 million. Although the VICP was originally created by Congress to shield drug companies producing government licensed, recommended and mandated vaccines for children, today it is not children but adults injured by influenza vaccine who are receiving most of the compensation.
    The majority of compensated flu shot injury claims are for nerve inflammation diagnosed as Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), an autoimmune disorder that attacks the nervous system and can result in life-long paralysis. Other complications include fibromyalgia, transverse myelitis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, and death.
    Vaccine Injuries are Seldom Reported
    The U.S. Government keeps a database of reports documenting vaccine injuries and deaths called The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). The problem is that very few medical officials ever report vaccine injuries or deaths, either because they are not trained to recognized them, or due to pressure within their profession to not report them. To admit that vaccines do cause harm is professional suicide for most doctors and medical professionals.
    Hence, the quarterly DOJ report on vaccine cases only represents a tiny fraction of the actual cases that exist.
    One place we can get a glimpse of the amount of vaccine harm that is being caused in the U.S. today is to look at emergency room visits. As one can see in the report above, with most of the settlements being cases of harm caused by the flu vaccine, Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is the most common injury suffered from the flu shot. GBS is a debilitating disease that attacks a person’s own immune system and damages their nerve cells, causing muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis. It is very similar to the symptoms one may see with polio.
    If you are taken to the emergency room with signs of GBS during flu season, chances are one of the first questions the doctors will ask you is if you have received the flu shot recently. GBS is also listed as a side effect of the flu shot in the package insert.

    WHAT IS INFORMED CONSENT?

    Vaccination is a medical intervention that carries a risk of injury or death.

    Informed consent is the permission granted in the knowledge of the possible consequences, typically that which is given by a patient to a doctor for treatment with full knowledge of the possible risks and benefits. 
    The right to informed consent to any medical intervention that can kill or injure you or your child is a human right.
    You have the responsibility to become fully informed about vaccines and the right to make voluntary choices about whether or not to risk your life or your child’s life with a vaccine or any other procedure a medical doctor recommends. The more educated you become about vaccines, the more empowered you will become and the better able you will be to stand up for your right to informed consent to medical risk taking. 1
    Currently, informed consent consists of a one page sheet generally stating that the only risks of vaccination are mild “redness, fever, pain and swelling at site.”
    This is an intentional omission of serious risks associated with vaccination to sell pharmaceutical products to the public.
    Vaccines have a significantly lower standard of informed consent than all other pharmaceutical drugs.

    Vaccine Inserts from the manufacturer contain an average 20 pages of is lacking the drug risk information from the manufacturers’ product inserts including: ingredients (adjuvants , excipients , and allergens), contraindications, severe adverse reactions, safety testing results, and effectiveness data. Many vaccines contain ingredients which cause a variety of reactions and poor health outcomes for individuals who are susceptible to these known toxic ingredients such as aluminum, ethyl mercury, formaldehyde, and squalene.

    Safety trials are lacking in many of the vaccines recommended. Vaccines are only safety tested in healthy 12-year-old or older subjects with no health conditions. Vaccines are not tested on infants, pregnant women, or any populations with chronic health problems. Retrospective studies exist on health outcomes of vaccines from medical record reviews in these susceptible populations, but this type of retrospective research is flawed by design with confounding variables.

    Furthermore, there are no safety trials on the cumulative effect of the aggressive US vaccine schedule on developing children. The vaccine schedule has expanded from 25 doses in 1986 to 70 doses in 2015.

    According to Institute of Medicine (2013) , “Thus, key elements of the entire schedule – the number, frequency, timing, order and age at administration of vaccines – have not been systematically examined in research studies.”

    For that reason, more and more parents are utilizing their vaccine exemption rights for their children.
    Nov Recently Dr Paul Offit and Dr Richard Pan spend an afternoon convincing medical students how to overcome parental concerns and avoid informed consent because the doctors are not held accountable for any damages done so there is no need to be concerned about the human rights violation.

    In 1986, Congress passed the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 (42 U.S.C. §§ 300aa-1 to 300aa-34, NCVIA) in response to the pharmaceutical industry and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) requests to shield both vaccine manufacturers and doctors from civil product liability and malpractice lawsuits for permanent disabilities and deaths caused by federally recommended and state mandated vaccines.
    • NCVIA acknowledged that vaccines can cause serious harm, and created a federal program to review vaccine injury claims called the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP). This is a tax-funded program. Because this federal program rejects a majority of claims and compensations are rare, parents assume all risks for any vaccine-induced injury.
    • NCVIA requires vaccine providers to inform consumers in reporting health problems following vaccination to the federal Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) . However, most consumers remain unaware of VAERS. Many consumers and parents of children who have reactions (serious health problems, hospitalizations, neurological injuries, and subsequent deaths) share that their doctor would not report adverse vaccine outcomes to VAERS.
    • NCVIA requires vaccine providers to inform consumers prior to vaccination about the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) , a specialized federal court handling vaccine claims through the US Department of Health and Human Services. Doctors are not liable for any adverse reaction or injury caused by a vaccine.
    • NCVIA provides a Vaccine Injury Table . If you choose to vaccinate, this table lists the common injuries associated with each vaccine and onset time period. Injuries include: anaphylaxis, encephalopathy, seizure disorder, convulsions, shock-collapse, partial or complete paralysis, narcolepsy, cardiovascular and respiratory arrest, disability, and death.
      Contraindications are crucial for making informed decisions regarding vaccines. If you or your child have any health issues, refer to this list for possible contraindications.
      Vaccine providers are not required to tell consumers that they might not actually need booster shots on the vaccine schedule which now includes 70 doses .
